Job summary

Jobtailor Bengaluru seeks a senior software engineer to design, code, test, deploy, and document scalable cloud-based solutions. You will drive architecture, lead cross-functional collaboration, and mentor engineers to deliver enterprise-grade products.

You will work with Python REST APIs, Next.js frontend, Kubernetes deployments, and CI/CD, shaping roadmaps while ensuring security and scalability in a fast-paced, globally connected environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field with 3 years of software engineering experience or 5+ years overall.
• 7+ years of experience in Python-based REST API development and Next.js.
• Experience deploying containerized apps on Kubernetes with Docker.
• Experience with microservices architecture and scalable Python apps.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL database skills.
• Deep understanding of system design and CI/CD processes.
• Proficiency with Prometheus and Grafana; exposure to AI-assisted tools.

• Drive development and implementation of next-generation Walmart products and platforms

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; or 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
• 7+ years of experience in application development using Python-based REST APIs and Next.js
• Experience with containerized deployments on Kubernetes using Docker
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable Python-based applications and microservices
• Deep understanding of system design principles
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and testing tools
• Proficiency with Prometheus and Grafana
• Exposure to GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools
