Job summary

Jobtailor in Bengaluru is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Engineer to build scalable frontend and backend services in a cloud-native environment.

You will translate product specifications into production-ready, well-tested code and own feature delivery end-to-end, including design, development, testing, deployment, observability, and monitoring. You will also help design large-scale distributed systems with senior engineers and explore AI integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5–7 years of experience building large-scale distributed web platforms and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, and GraphQL.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks like Angular or React.
• Proficiency in automated testing and CI/CD workflows.

• Develop scalable and reliable frontend and/or backend features and services in a distributed, cloud-native environment
• Translate product and design documents into clean, high-quality, tested, maintainable production code
• Own feature delivery end-to-end, including design, development, testing, deployment, observability, and monitoring
• Design large-scale distributed systems with Senior Engineers and Architects
• Prototype ideas using emerging technologies, including generative AI integrations
• Propose and evaluate design options with estimates and provide technical leadership and mentoring
• Write test automations, practice continuous integration and delivery, and conduct code reviews
• Structure and complete tasks independently while meeting deadlines and communicating with stakeholders
• Lead engineering support, release, and on-call responsibilities for an always-on 24/7 platform
• Build and evolve eBay's internal corporate portal serving tens of thousands of employees globally

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
• 5–7 years of experience building large-scale, distributed web platforms and APIs as a full stack developer
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and system design
• Hands-on experience with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, and GraphQL
• Familiarity with Angular, React, or Marko, or equivalent modern frontend expertise
• Experience with RDBMS, NoSQL, or ElasticSearch
• Proficiency in automated unit, functional, and integration testing
• Familiarity with TDD, Agile, CI/CD, and Git workflows
• Experience integrating LLMs or enterprise AI APIs such as Azure OpenAI or Glean
• Familiarity with AI-assisted developer workflows such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor
• Understanding of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or semantic search
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and participate in knowledge-sharing
