Job summary

Source-Right is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Avionics team in Bengaluru. The role requires hands-on FMS software development, safety-critical software expertise, and ownership of product quality within a DevOps environment.

You will design, implement, integrate, and verify DO-178B/C compliant software, collaborating with Systems, Certification, and cross-functional teams, while mentoring junior engineers and promoting engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in aerospace, electronics, CS, or related field.
• 5+ years in avionics software development, FMS experience mandatory.
• Strong DO-178B/C knowledge and safety-critical software practice.
• Proficient in C/C++, scripting, and embedded real-time development.

Position: Senior Software Engineer (CE50SF RM 4542)

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Avionics team. The ideal candidate will have strong avionics software development experience, mandatory hands-on experience in Flight Management Systems, and expertise in developing safety-critical software in a DevOps environment. The role requires ownership of product quality, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and a mindset focused on delivering optimized and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and verify safety-critical FMS software.
• Work in a DevOps environment, contributing to CI/CD and continuous improvement.
• Own product quality and ensure compliance with DO-178B/C standards.
• Collaborate with Systems, Certification, and other cross-functional teams.
• Works on software design, coding, integration, and verification
• Drive software optimization, automation, and engineering best practices.
• Mentor team members and contribute to technical excellence.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in avionics software development.
• Mandatory experience in Flight Management System (FMS) software development. User Interface skills are recommended
• Strong knowledge of DO-178B/C and software design, development, integration, and verification.
• Experience working in a DevOps environment with CI/CD practices.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, scripting languages, and embedded real-time software development.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
