Honeywell Aerospace Bengaluru invites experienced Flight Controls engineers to join a team designing and developing advanced avionics and embedded control systems on integrated platforms.

The role covers system/software requirements, MATLAB/Simulink modeling, architecture design, and cross-functional collaboration across global sites, with focus on lifecycle processes, certification readiness, and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science or Information Technology.
• 4 to 8 years of work experience on aerospace systems; knowledge of flight control systems is a plus.
• Experience with avionics architecture, certification and development.
• Familiarity with ARP 4754A, DO-178B/ARP4761 CC/CQ.
• Proficiency in Python and MATLAB; hands-on embedded development.

Responsibilities

• Understand avionics products, processes, tools and interact with customers and stakeholders for program execution.
• Understand Flight Control System architecture, design and development.
• Be aware of UAM market and Compact Fly-by-Wire architectures.
• Develop system/software requirements from Equipment Level Requirements.
• Develop Simulink and Stateflow models using MATLAB.
• Identify and debug system-level issues; understand aircraft interfaces.
• Collaborate across global teams for sub-system/systems integration.
• Hands-on embedded development and lifecycle awareness.
• Drive technical processes, participate in reviews and close actions.
• Prepare technical white papers, WIDS, IP documentation.

Responsibilities

• The candidate should have good understanding of avionics products, process, tools and methodologies and interface with the customer and other stakeholders for the program execution.
• The candidate should have good understanding on Flight Control System Product Architecture, Design and Development.
• Aware of the UAM market and the Compact Fly by Wire System/SW architectures.
• Development of Systems/Software requirements from Equipment Level Requirements
• Development of Simulink and State flow models using MATLAB.
• Identifying and debugging issues at the system level and good understanding of aircraft systems and interfaces.
• Good troubleshooting skills to identify and fix issues arising from Applications/Flight testing/V&V.
• Active participation and contribution in driving sub systems/systems integration. Ability to co-ordinate with diverse set of teams.
• Highly proficient and have hands on experience in the Embedded Development.
• Good understanding of System and Software Product Development Lifecycles.
• Candidate should be able to work in Collaborative and integrated working environment across global sites.
• Drive technical process, participate in technical reviews and drive actions to closure.
• Deliver/support technical white papers/WIDS/Patent/IP.
• Excellent focus on execution, should ensure responsiveness to team and management

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science or Information Technology
• 4 to 8 years of Work experience on Aerospace systems. Knowledge of Flight control systems is added advantage.
  

Additional Qualifications

• Experienced with Flight controls Architecture and certification.
• Knowledge and practical use of the tools like DFTS (Digital Flight Test Suits), Test Interface Unit (TIU) etc
• Knowledge and practical use of ARP 4754A, DO178B/ARP4761/ CC/CQ
• Understanding of Z21.
• Knowledge of Python, MATLAB
• Hands on experience in Agile methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong personal leadership abilities and ability to handle multiple activities/priorities effectively
• Action oriented, results driven, self-starter/learner
