Job summary

Staffing Services in Chennai is seeking a senior software engineer to own the development of WiFi and broadband software stacks on RDKB/OpenWrt platforms. You will contribute to real-time networking features, debug and troubleshoot on Linux, and collaborate with hardware teams on board bring-up.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in software development, strong C/C++, Python, and shell scripting skills, and extensive experience with Yocto, Open Source, and WiFi driver development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Engineering.
• 8+ years software development exp; 5+ yrs in RDKB, prpl, OpenWRT, WiFi.
• Strong C/Linux/Networking; some roles require C++.
• Experienced with Yocto, Open Source, middleware, and WiFi driver/app development.
• Understanding of TR068, USP, Firewall, GPON, DOCSIS, FWA.
• Experience with Broadcom, MaxLinear, Qualcomm and MediaTek WiFi/broadband chipsets.
• Good debugging and board bring-up for real-time networking systems.
• Proficient in C/C++, Python, Shell scripting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Office-based work may be mandatory.

Mandatory Skills and Experience:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8 year of experience in software development. 5+ years in core RDKB, prpl, OpenWRT, Wi Fi development
• Strong experience in C/Linux/Networking. Some engineers are needed with C++
• Experience in Yocto, Open Source, Middleware feature, Wi Fi driver and application development
• Understanding of TR068, USP, Firewall, GPON, DOCSIS, FWA
• Experience in Broadcom, MaxLinear, Qualcomm and MediaTek broadband and Wi Fi chipsets

General:

• Good experience in the Debugging, troubleshooting of real-time networking systems, Board brings up design testing.
• Must have strong program skills in C / C++, Python, Shell scripting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Working from office mandatory in most of the cases
