Job summary

ModMed is a healthcare technology leader seeking a Senior Software Engineer to anchor our India-based Platform Engineering team in Hyderabad. You will architect and build scalable integration services powering next-gen interoperable medical data across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of software development with leadership.
• Strong skills in Java, Angular, Spring Boot, SQL, and RESTful services.
• Hands-on experience with public cloud services, preferably AWS.
• Excellent collaboration across global teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect & Build: Design, develop, and maintain high-impact software systems, ensuring they meet both business goals and technical excellence.
• Own Outcomes: Drive deliverables that meet functional and non-functional criteria; proactively pivot and lead changes when outcomes aren't aligned.

Your Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a technical anchor for our India-based team. You will lead the development of reliable, performant, and scalable integration services that power the next generation of healthcare interoperability.

• Tech Stack Mastery: Exceptional skills in Java, Angular, Spring Boot, SQL, and RESTful services.
• Cloud Proficiency: Hands‑on experience with public cloud services, preferably AWS.
• Communication: Exceptional ability to collaborate across functional lines and with global, cross‑geo teams.

The "Plus" Factors:

• Healthcare Domain: Experience with Healthcare Interoperability standards like HL7 or FHIR is a huge advantage.
• Full-Stack Mindset: Experience spanning backend, frontend, and operations (DevOps).
