Job summary

ModMed is seeking a Technical Product Owner to bridge vision and execution for our Practice Management product. You will translate complex business needs into AI-enabled, automation-driven features and participate in the full development lifecycle with Engineering and Product teams.

Deep healthcare billing knowledge, SQL proficiency, and a passion for scalable, compliant AI solutions are essential. You will collaborate across teams to ensure customer delight and rapid release readiness.

Qualifications

• Healthcare or Practice Management experience.
• Proficient in SQL for data validation and investigation.
• Interest in AI capabilities and scalable solutions.
• Ability to explain complex AI logic to stakeholders and designers.
• Self-starter capable of managing high-visibility projects.

Job Description Summary: The Mission

At ModMed, we are placing doctors and patients at the center of care through an intelligent, specialty-specific cloud platform. We are looking for a Technical Product Owner who doesn’t just manage a backlog, but actively shapes a world where software increases medical-practice success and improves patient outcomes.

The Role

You will serve as the strategic bridge between vision and velocity. As the liaison for our Practice Management product, you will leverage your deep medical billing knowledge and technical SQL skills to translate complex business needs into groundbreaking AI and automation-driven features.

• Save Time (Quantifiably): Identify operational bottlenecks using data-driven metrics and propose automation solutions that reduce manual effort and maximize financial outcomes for our clients.
• Collaborate & Align: Partner with Engineering and Product Management to navigate the development lifecycle—addressing edge cases, ensuring scalability, and maintaining the highest standards of model accuracy.
• Champion Change: Coordinate alpha/beta programs to gather the "voice of the customer," ensuring our AI initiatives create genuine Customer Delight before they hit the general market.
• Think Big: Support release readiness by creating the "source of truth" documentation and training materials that empower our internal teams to succeed.

What You Bring

• Healthcare Core: You have deep-rooted experience in Healthcare or Practice Management. You understand the heartbeat of a medical office.
• Technical Edge: You are proficient in SQL for data validation and problem investigation. You enjoy "looking under the hood" to ensure data integrity.
• "Automation" Mindset: You are fascinated by AI capabilities and have the analytical rigor to design solutions that are compliant, scalable, and intuitive.
• Communication Mastery: You can explain complex AI logic to a stakeholder and technical constraints to a designer without breaking a sweat.
