Job summary

ESR Healthcare in Pune is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Manual QA) with 5–7 years of hands-on testing experience to join a dynamic product team.

You will create and execute test cases, perform functional, regression, UI and API testing, and track defects using Jira, Zephyr or equivalent tools.

Collaborate with developers, business analysts and product owners to ensure quality standards are met and release timelines are achieved.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience creating and executing test cases and test scenarios.
• Proficient in functional, regression, integration, system, smoke and sanity testing.
• Experience with defect life cycle and defect management.
• Hands-on with Jira, Zephyr or similar defect-tracking tools.
• SQL/database testing knowledge; API testing with Postman.
• Understanding REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON is beneficial.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for a Manual Testing Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in software quality assurance. The candidate will be responsible for understanding business requirements, creating and executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring that applications meet functional and quality standards before release.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements and prepare test scenarios.


• Create, review, and maintain detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test data.


• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and exploration.


• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.


• Perform UI and API testing as required.


• Validate application workflows across different browsers, devices, and environments.


• Participate in requirements review, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and defect triage meetings.


• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA engineers.
