Job Title: Senior QA Engineer/ QA Lead Engineer

Job Profile

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer / QA Lead Engineer with strong expertise in manual testing, regression testing, API testing, integration testing, backend validation, and test automation.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive test cases and automated regression suites to ensure end-to-end product quality. Hands‑on experience with Cucumber and Playwright or Selenium is essential.

The candidate will work closely with developers, product owners, and QA leadership in an Agile environment to validate releases, manage defects, and continuously improve testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Test Design and Execution

• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into test scenarios and detailed test cases.
• Perform functional, system, smoke, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Conduct API testing and validate integrations across multiple systems.
• Perform SQL queries and database validation to verify backend data.
• Document test results, maintain test evidence, and report defects.

2. Regression Testing and Release Validation

• Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive regression test suites.
• Ensure existing functionality remains unaffected by new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and improve regression test effectiveness.
• Validate critical business workflows and end-to-end user journeys.
• Support release readiness, defect retesting, and production validation.

3. Test Automation

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Cucumber with Playwright or Selenium.
• Identify suitable manual test cases for automation.
• Build and maintain reusable automation scripts and regression suites.
• Support automated test execution through CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot automation failures and improve test reliability.

4. Defect Management

• Identify, document, track, and manage defects using Jira and Xray.
• Provide clear reproduction steps, logs, screenshots, and supporting test evidence.
• Collaborate with developers to investigate issues and verify fixes.
• Participate in defect triage and prioritize issues based on severity and business impact.
• Ensure defects are retested and closed only after successful verification.

5. Quality Assurance and Collaboration

• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA leadership to ensure product quality.
• Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing progress, risks, and quality metrics.
• Maintain adequate coverage across functional, API, backend, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Follow SDLC, testing standards, and release management processes.
• Coordinate test data and test environments to support effective testing.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in QA processes and practices.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience in manual testing, test case design, and regression testing.
• Practical experience with Cucumber and either Playwright or Selenium.
• Strong expertise in API testing using Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Experience in SQL, database validation, backend testing, and system integrations.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and release validation.
• Experience with Jira, Xray, and Confluence.
• Ability to analyze application logs using Kibana and/or AWS CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with Git, Agile/Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban methodologies.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, defect lifecycle, and release management.
• Experience in test data management and test environment coordination.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.
