Job summary

Bynaric Systems Pvt Ltd. is seeking an experienced QA Engineer in Pune/Mumbai to ensure quality, functionality, performance, and reliability of web applications.

You will design test plans, execute diverse testing types, validate APIs and databases, and coordinate with developers and clients on delivery timelines. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
• Hands-on experience in test case preparation, execution, defect reporting, and retesting.
• Experience in API testing and basic SQL queries will be preferred.
• Knowledge of automation testing tools and frameworks will be an advantage.
• Experience working on client-facing projects will be preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand client requirements, work independently, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation to understand application behavior.
• Prepare and execute test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate frontend functionality, backend workflows, database operations, and API responses.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or similar tools.
• Validate REST APIs, request/response payloads, status codes, authentication, and error handling.
• Verify database records and data integrity using SQL queries.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers to investigate issues, reproduce defects, and verify fixes.
• Perform payment gateway testing, including transaction flows, success/failure scenarios, callbacks, webhooks, and refund workflows where applicable.
• Validate third-party integrations and ensure expected system behaviour.
• Perform automation testing using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools, where applicable.
• Participate in requirement-gathering sessions and clarify ambiguous or incomplete requirements before testing.
• Communicate defects, test results, risks, and quality concerns clearly to developers, Project Managers, and clients.
• Maintain test documentation, test execution reports, and defect status reports.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), release validation, deployment verification, and production issue analysis.
• Take ownership of assigned testing activities and ensure timely completion with proper quality standards.

About the Role

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, performance, and reliability of web applications through systematic testing.
