Job summary

Bizmatics India, part of Harris Computer, is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our R&D team in Mumbai. You will build high-performance Java applications, design microservices, and implement secure authentication using Spring Security.

In-office role (Vikhroli, Mumbai) with Mon-Fri, 9am–6pm IST; expected 5-6 years in Java/Spring, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL, and modern UI with JavaScript/jQuery. You'll work with Jenkins, SonarQube, Ansible, and DevOps practices to deliver robust software;

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
• 5-6 years of Java and Spring Framework experience.
• Strong SQL/MySQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL and RESTful API design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-performance applications using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
• Design microservices and integrate with internal/external systems.
• Tune JVM performance and memory management.
• Implement authentication and authorization with Spring Security.
• Write JavaScript/jQuery; familiarity with React.js is a plus.
• Participate in code reviews, peer programming, and raise coding standards.
• Work with DevOps pipelines (Jenkins, SonarQube) and basic deployment automation (Ansible).
• Collaborate on caching strategies and version control best practices.
• Exposure to SQL and NoSQL databases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-performance applications using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs
• Contribute to the design of microservices and integration with internal/external systems
• Apply best practices for JVM performance tuning and memory management
• Implement authentication and authorization flows using Spring Security
• Write and maintain JavaScript/jQuery code; familiarity with React.js is a plus
• Participate in code reviews, peer programming, and contribute to improving development standards
• Work with DevOps pipelines (Jenkins, SonarQube) and understand basic deployment automation (Ansible)
• Familiar with caching frameworks
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, Ansible
• Solid understanding of Git, branching, and version control best practices
• Exposure to SQL and NoSQL databases

Good to Have

• Familiarity with DevSecOps and secure coding practices
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5-6 years of experience in Java and Spring Framework (Spring Boot preferred)
• Good understanding of SQL and database design (MySQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL)
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript and jQuery
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services
• Understanding of MVC architecture and design patterns
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Hands-on experience of using AI Tools like Chatgpt, Gemini and Anti-Gravity
