Harris is seeking an experienced developer to build complex applications in a fast-paced environment. You will apply SDLC knowledge, advanced OOP, RDBMS concepts, and architectural/design patterns while following best practices in unit testing and configuration management.
Role offers remote work from Mumbai with IST evening hours (Mon-Fri 5:30pm–2:30am). The position requires 8–9 years of product development experience and proficiency in multiple tech areas, including RPG/CL, DB2 SQL, and SOLID
Successful candidate must be an experienced developer with a proven track record developing complex applications in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of architectural and design patterns, core design concepts, unit testing and configuration management best practices. Design, construct, test and debug technical solutions in compliance with defined engineering standards. Provide estimates of efforts required to implement the tasks assigned and accomplish the tasks in compliance with a schedule defined by technical management. Identifies system and engineering process deficiencies and recommends solutions and process improvements. Takes full responsibility for the implementation of project parts including work on new projects. Resolves development issues of high complexity. Assists in enforcement of development deadlines and schedules. Facilitates development tasks prioritizations for junior staff. Other duties as required to support and meet the needs of the organization. Maintain the effectiveness and implementation of the MEDHOST Quality Management System and meet applicable regulatory requirements as needed. Responsible for QMS procedures listed in QMS Procedure Crosswalk found in QMS Manual as applicable.
8-9 years of commercial product development experience. Must be proficient in more than one of the following: RPG & CL DB2 SQL SQL Procedure and User Defined Functions SOLID principles of objected-oriented programming and design Comprehension of different types of testing i.e. unit, system, integration & performance. Knowledge of cross platform development is recommended Experience with agile software development methods in a geographically distributed environment Soft Skills/ Behavioral Skills: 1. Excellent Communication Skills (Written & Verbal) 2. Working Independently. 3. Critical Thinking
