Job summary

KMZ Services in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Senior Software Engineer for our Avionics team. You will own safety-critical FMS software, drive DO-178B/C compliance, and contribute to CI/CD in a DevOps environment.

You will collaborate with Systems and Certification teams to deliver optimized, reliable avionics solutions and mentor junior engineers while ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in aerospace, electronics, CS, or related engineering.
• 5+ years in avionics software development.
• Mandatory FMS software development experience; UI skills recommended.
• Strong DO-178B/C knowledge and V&V for safety-critical software.
• DevOps experience with CI/CD in embedded environments.

The role requires ownership of product quality, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and a mindset focused on delivering optimized and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and verify safety-critical FMS software.
• Work in a DevOps environment, contributing to CI / CD and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in aerospace, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in avionics software development.
• Mandatory experience in Flight Management System (FMS) software development. User Interface skills are recommended
• Strong knowledge of DO-178B/C and software design, development, integration, and verification.
• Experience working in a DevOps environment with CI / CD practices.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, scripting languages, and embedded real-time software development.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
