Job summary

ParentPay Group is seeking a Senior Software Consultant - Testing based in Pune, India. The role focuses on hands-on functional, API and ETL testing for web applications, with strong emphasis on automation and QA leadership within a fast-growing software product environment.

You will lead QA activities, mentor team members, and coordinate testing efforts to meet project timelines. Proficiency in automation tools and cloud platforms like Azure/AWS is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Proven 8+ years of work experience in software quality assurance, especially web applications.
• Lead and mentor QA team members, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Manage and coordinate all testing activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and standards.
• Develop and implement innovative testing strategies, including automation frameworks, to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality goals and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Monitor and report on key quality metrics, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Advocate for best practices in QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously elevate QA standards.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in functional, API and ETL testing.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (Python, Selenium, Testcafe, Supertest, Gatling, Browserstack, JMeter, etc)
• Strong knowledge of common web application technologies (Azure, AWS etc.)
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Knowledge of Non-functional testing Performance testing, Usability testing, User Acceptance Testing. etc
• Ability to create and execute End to end test scenarios.
• Strong communication skills to report and document test results.
