Job summary

Insight is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Consultant - FinOps to lead discovery, design FinOps solutions, and support proposals across multiple cloud environments. You will strengthen cloud cost governance, licensing, and budgeting discussions with practical FinOps know-how.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver ROI/TCO analyses, proofs of concept, and compelling business cases. This hybrid role offers exposure to Fortune 500 cloud transformations.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in FinOps/ cloud cost management consulting.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud pricing models.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• FinOps certification and platforms like Cloudability or Flexera preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead client discovery and solution design for FinOps opportunities.
• Develop ROI/TCO analyses, business cases, demonstrations, proposals, and RFI/RFP responses.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Sales and cross-functional teams.
• Lead FinOps engagements from assessment to delivery handover.

About The Role

As a Senior Pre-Sales Consultant - FinOps, you will lead client discovery and solution design for FinOps opportunities, supporting proposals, bids, and a clear transition from sales to delivery. We will count on you to strengthen cloud, licensing, governance, and spend-optimisation conversations through practical FinOps expertise. Along the way, you will get to:

• Assess complex client environments, facilitate stakeholder workshops, and advise on cloud cost optimization, financial governance, budgeting, and multi-cloud financial management.
• Design tailored FinOps solutions and develop ROI/TCO analyses, business cases, demonstrations, proofs of concept, proposals, and RFI/RFP responses.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Sales, and other cross-functional teams while leading FinOps training and creating sales-enablement materials.
• Lead FinOps engagements through assessment, solution definition, implementation planning, ongoing management, and structured handover to delivery teams. to four responsibilities

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, with at least five years of relevant consulting, FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud financial analysis experience.
• Strong understanding of AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud pricing and commercial models, with the ability to turn technical and financial data into clear recommendations and business cases.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills, including experience delivering client workshops, demonstrations, proposals, and bid responses.
• FinOps certification and experience with platforms such as IBM Cloudability or Flexera Cloud Cost Optimisation are preferred, along with knowledge of ITAM, software licensing, SaaS subscription management, and governance practices. Limit to four capabilities/requirements
