Job summary

Google LLC in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Silicon Design Verification Engineer to own the full verification lifecycle, from planning to test execution and coverage closure, ensuring AI/ML performance targets on TPU hardware.

You will work with design and verification teams on constrained-random environments, SystemVerilog assertions, and advanced verification methodologies to deliver reliable silicon for Google's AI-driven products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of verification experience at RTL level using SystemVerilog or Specman/e for FPGA/ASIC.
• Experience in verification and debug of IP/subsystem/SoCs in networking domains (packet processing, bandwidth management, congestion control).
• Experience verifying digital systems using standard IP components/interconnects (microprocessor cores, hierarchical memory subsystems).

Responsibilities

• Plan verification of digital design blocks by understanding design specs and coordinating with design engineers to identify key scenarios.
• Create and enhance constrained-random verification environments using SystemVerilog; verify designs with SystemVerilog Assertions and formal tools.
• Identify and write coverage measures for stimulus and corner cases; debug tests with design engineers to ensure correct functionality.
• Close coverage gaps and drive progress toward tape-out.

• Experience with industry-standard simulators, revision control systems, and regression systems.

Experience in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) accelerators or vector processing units.

• Experience with the full verification life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Plan the verification of digital design blocks by fully understanding the design specification and interacting with design engineers to identify important verification scenarios.
• Create and enhance constrained‑random verification environments using SystemVerilog and Universal Verification Methodology. Verify designs with SystemVerilog Assertions and industry leading formal tools.
• Identify and write all types of coverage measures for stimulus and corner‑cases.
• Debug tests with design engineers to deliver functionally correct design blocks.
• Close coverage measures to identify verification holes and to show progress towards tape‑out.
