Job summary

Mellow Sleep is seeking a Senior Shopify Developer to own our Shopify Plus storefront and integrations. You will architect, build, and maintain a scalable ecommerce infrastructure supporting DTC, TikTok Shop, Amazon, and wholesale channels.

You will mentor junior developers, optimize checkout, and ensure performance across multi-storefront, currency, and international setups. Remote (India) role with overlap to U.S. time zones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Shopify / Shopify Plus development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Liquid, JavaScript, React, and Node.js.
• Deep knowledge of Shopify APIs, webhooks, and custom app development.
• Direct experience integrating TikTok Shop with Shopify, including catalog feeds, order synchronization, and inventory.
• Experience building and maintaining 3PL integrations such as ShipBob, ShipHero, Deliverr, or similar platforms.
• Experience working with high volume ecommerce stores, $10M+/year minimum, $100M+ strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with headless commerce and Shopify Hydrogen.
• Experience with multi currency, international, and multi storefront configurations.
• Strong understanding of ecommerce conversion optimization and site performance.
• Ability to diagnose and solve complex technical problems across interconnected systems.
• Ability to work cross functionally with growth, marketing, operations, product, and finance teams.
• Comfortable operating in a fast moving environment where speed and execution matter.

Responsibilities

• Own Shopify Plus architecture, performance, and custom development.
• Develop in Liquid, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and Hydrogen as needed.

• Ensure site speed and Core Web Vitals are strong.
• Own QA, staging, testing, and deployment pipelines.

Mellow Sleep is one of the fastest growing consumer brands in the U.S., scaling from $0 to nine figures in revenue in under two years.

We are the #1 Home brand on TikTok Shop and are rapidly expanding across major retail and commerce channels, including Target, QVC, Walmart, Amazon, and wholesale.

As we continue to scale, we are looking for a Senior Shopify Developer to take technical ownership of our Shopify ecosystem and the integrations that power a high volume DTC and omnichannel operation.

The Role

You will be the technical owner of our Shopify Plus storefront and connected ecommerce systems. This is not a theme tweaks development role.

You will be responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining the infrastructure behind a $300M+ ecommerce brand operating simultaneously across DTC, TikTok Shop, Amazon, retail, and wholesale channels.

You will work closely with our growth, marketing, operations, product, and finance teams to ensure our commerce infrastructure is fast, reliable, scalable, and built to support continued aggressive growth. You will also mentor and review the work of junior Shopify developers on the team.

What You Will Own

Shopify Architecture and Development

• Full ownership of Shopify Plus architecture, performance, and custom development
• Custom Liquid, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and Hydrogen development as needed
• Checkout optimization and conversion focused development
• Site speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall storefront performance
• QA, staging environments, testing, and deployment pipelines

Integrations and Commerce Infrastructure

• TikTok Shop integration, including catalog sync, order routing, and inventory management
• 3PL integrations and fulfillment logic across multiple warehouses
• Custom Shopify apps, APIs, webhooks, and middleware
• Integrations with platforms such as AfterSell, Loox, Triple Whale, Klaviyo, and other core ecommerce tools
• Data flows between Shopify, ERP, fulfillment, analytics, and reporting systems
• Technical troubleshooting across the entire ecommerce stack

Omnichannel and International

• Multi storefront management across the U.S., Canada, and future international markets
• Multi currency and localization infrastructure
• Support for DTC, TikTok Shop, Amazon, retail, and wholesale channels
• Inventory and order routing logic across channels and fulfillment locations
