Job summary

Backdropsource is seeking a Senior Shopify Developer in Coimbatore to build, customize, and optimize modern Shopify stores. You will convert designs into pixel-perfect, responsive storefronts across devices and drive conversion through UI/UX improvements.

The role requires 3–4+ years of Shopify development, strong technical SEO skills, and experience with international stores and app integrations. Hybrid onsite work in Coimbatore is offered along with performance-focused development.

Qualifications

• 3–4+ years of Shopify development experience.
• Strong understanding of modern ecommerce UI/UX and conversion-focused development.
• Experience with Shopify APIs, integrations, Metafields, and custom functionality.
• Good knowledge of technical SEO, Schema, Core Web Vitals, and page-speed optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, maintain, and optimize Shopify 2.0 themes and storefronts.
• Convert Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive Shopify pages across devices.
• Build modern, conversion-focused UI/UX while maintaining performance and scalability.
• Customize themes, sections, templates, product pages, collections, carts, and other storefront components.
• Integrate and troubleshoot Shopify Apps, third-party APIs, payment systems, marketing tools, and analytics platforms.
• Perform technical SEO audits and resolve crawlability, indexing, canonical, redirects, and other site issues.
• Implement and validate structured data / Schema markup for products, breadcrumbs, organizations, and other entities.
• Improve page speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall storefront performance.
• Manage and optimize multiple-country / international Shopify stores, including localization and Shopify Markets.

About the Role

Backdropsource is looking for a Senior Shopify Developer with strong hands-on experience in building, customizing, and optimizing modern Shopify stores.

The ideal candidate should combine Shopify development, pixel-perfect UI/UX implementation, technical SEO, performance optimization, international store management, and Agentic SEO knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, maintain, and optimize Shopify 2.0 themes and storefronts.
• Convert Figma designs and mockups into pixel-perfect, responsive Shopify pages across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Build modern, conversion-focused UI/UX while maintaining performance and scalability.
• Customize themes, sections, templates, product pages, collections, carts, and other storefront components.
• Integrate and troubleshoot Shopify Apps, third-party APIs, payment systems, marketing tools, and analytics platforms.
• Perform technical SEO audits and resolve crawlability, indexing, canonical, redirect, and other site issues.

Agentic SEO & AI Search

Candidates should understand Agentic SEO / Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and how Shopify stores can be structured for better visibility across platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and other LLM-powered discovery channels.

Knowledge of semantic HTML, structured data, clean site architecture, crawlable product information, entity signals, and machine-readable ecommerce data is important.

What We're Looking For

• 3–4+ years of Shopify development experience
• Strong understanding of modern ecommerce UI/UX and conversion-focused development
• Experience with Shopify APIs, integrations, Metafields, and custom functionality
• Good knowledge of technical SEO, Schema, Core Web Vitals, and page-speed optimization
• Experience handling international / multi-country Shopify stores

• Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and ownership skills

Experience with Shopify Plus, Checkout Extensibility, high-traffic ecommerce stores, advanced integrations, or international ecommerce brands will be an advantage.
