Job Title:Senior ServiceNow SAM Pro Developer (Software Asset Management – SAM)

Role/Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow SAM Pro Developer to own the day-to-day platform operations of an enterprise Software Asset Management (SAM) Pro framework. The role is hands-on and centres on building and supporting SaaS, cloud and software integrations through pre-built connectors and custom Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), configuring SAM Pro capabilities, and driving automation-led process improvements. The incumbent will also perform quality assurance (QA) and code reviews, and extend support to Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and cloud asset management teams within the ServiceNow platform, working closely with analysts, developers and Information Technology (IT) stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain ServiceNow SAM Pro integrations (40%): Build and support Software as a Service (SaaS), cloud and software integrations using pre-built connectors and custom Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) within ServiceNow.
• Lead SAM Pro automation and platform enhancements (20%): Identify process improvement opportunities and implement automation solutions that increase SAM Pro adoption and operational efficiency.
• Perform quality assurance and solution reviews (15%): Conduct code reviews, testing and quality assurance (QA) activities for SAM Pro implementations and other ServiceNow development work.
• Manage vendor and third-party relationships (10%): Act as the liaison between the organisation, ServiceNow and third-party vendors for integration, support and platform-related initiatives.
• Develop IT Asset Management (ITAM) solutions (10%): Design, configure and develop moderate-complexity ITAM and SAM Pro solutions, workflows and customisations within ServiceNow.
• Other duties as assigned (5%): Provide related support to hardware and cloud Asset Management stakeholders within the ServiceNow ecosystem.

Must-Have Skills:

• Hands-on ServiceNow development experience, preferably on ServiceNow Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro).
• Strong knowledge of Representational State Transfer (REST) Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) APIs and web services.
• Proven experience integrating vendor and Software as a Service (SaaS) systems (for example Adobe, Microsoft, Lucidchart and similar platforms) with ServiceNow.
• Working knowledge of Single Sign-On (SSO)/Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), Open Authorization (OAuth), Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and identity management integrations.
• Experience with data ingestion, Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and data transformation.
• Sound understanding of Software Asset Management (SAM) concepts, software licensing, compliance and entitlement management.
• Experience with ServiceNow Import Sets, Transform Maps and IntegrationHub.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for integration issues.
• Experience in automation and workflow development on the ServiceNow platform.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently as well as within a team.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• Advanced exposure to ServiceNow IntegrationHub together with SAM Pro.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience integrating Human Resources (HR), Procurement, Vendor Management and Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms with ServiceNow.
• Quality Assurance (QA) experience, and prior exposure to IT Asset Management (ITAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM) or IT Procurement functions.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills for documentation, reporting and stakeholder reviews.

Experience Required:
6–8 years of relevant experience, with mandatory hands‑on exposure to ServiceNow SAM Pro. Related experience within a large-scale enterprise technology environment is required; Quality Assurance (QA), IT Asset Management (ITAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM) or IT Procurement experience is preferred.

Any Other Important Notes:

• Engagement type: Contract role with a standard commitment of 40 hours per week; indicative engagement window of approximately six months, extendable based on performance and business requirement.
• Work model: Hybrid, with reporting to the designated Hyderabad delivery location as per the agreed roster.
• Reporting line: Reports into the IT Software Asset Management Lead within the IT Operations / Business Operations function.
• Behavioural expectations: Self-starter capability is mandatory, along with the ability to build partnerships beyond the immediate tactical team, a high degree of professionalism, and demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
• Certifications: ServiceNow CSA and CAD certifications are preferred and will be considered a differentiator during shortlisting.
• Dual time entry / timesheet compliance: Applicable as per programme governance norms.
