Job summary

Morningstar's Corporate Systems team seeks a skilled ServiceNow Developer to design, configure, and extend ServiceNow modules for global users, supporting HRSD, ITSM, and CMDB across the enterprise.

You will collaborate with IT, HR, and Finance to implement integrations, build catalogs, dashboards, and automation while ensuring quality and secure operations. Hybrid Mumbai-based role in Navi Mumbai, with four days in-office weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6 to 8 years of ServiceNow Development experience with at least 2 modules.
• Strong ITIL knowledge with HRSD/HAM/SAM/CMDB/ITSM familiarity.
• Certified CAD/HRSD/CMDB/SAM is highly desirable.
• Ability to work across IT/HR stakeholders and drive solutions.

Responsibilities

• Configure and develop ServiceNow applications, modules, flows, and interfaces to meet HRSD, HAM, SAM, ITSM, CMDB requirements.
• Create and maintain a user-friendly Service Catalog with workflows and SLAs.
• Collaborate with platform teams and business to translate needs into technical specs.
• Integrate ServiceNow with other IT systems and handle data migration tasks.
• Develop reports and dashboards for real-time IT/HR service metrics; leverage Performance Analytics if possible.
• Lead testing and QA, drive test automation, and maintain technical docs.

The Corporate Systems team manages and supports Morningstar's Corporate platforms like ServiceNow, Oracle ERP, Salesforce etc. used globally across IT Operations, HR, Marketing, Sales and Finance. Our primary responsibilities include:

Providing day to day support for Morningstar employees in the platforms and technologies they use to effectively market, sell, provide service and collect revenue for our products.

Offer guidance and technical expertise to all employees and business units as it relates to use of Corporate applications.

Implement system improvements for improved operational efficiencies and compliance alignment across teams and business units.

Maintain and update Corporate systems to keep them updated from a security and release perspective.

Work with application vendors and internal resources to ensure ongoing integrity and availability of applications.

Provide a centralized way of tracking and managing Corporate systems processes and procedures.

The Role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our dynamic ServiceNow team in Corporate Systems. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background in ServiceNow development and IT/HR Service Management practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design solutions, and implement enhancements to our ServiceNow instances, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and business processes.

This position is based in our Mumbai location at Vashi, Navi Mumbai and we follow a hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities

ServiceNow Configuration and Development: Experience with the design, configuration, and development of ServiceNow applications, modules, flows, and interfaces to meet the organization's HRSD, HAM, SAM, ITSM, Now Assist Virtual Agent and/or CMDB requirements. Hands experience on minimum 2 module's required. Experience with AI skills/studio is plus.

Strong knowledge and experience across ServiceNow product and process areas; HRSD, HAM, SAM,CMDB and ITSM preferred.

Service Catalog Development: Create and maintain a user-friendly Service Catalog, including service offerings, request workflows, and service-level agreements (SLAs).

Collaborate across the ServiceNow platform team and business stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications and functional requirements for ServiceNow solutions

Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and XML with hands-on experience in ServiceNow scripting, development & Integration.

Integration and Data Migration: Collaborate with other teams to integrate ServiceNow with other IT systems and third-party applications. Manage data migration tasks when required. Minimum 2-3 end to end hands on integration done in past.

Reporting and Dashboards: Develop custom reports, performance analytics, and executive dashboards in ServiceNow to provide real-time insights into IT/HR service performance and key metrics. Experience with Performance Analytics a plus.

Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest ServiceNow features, tools, and best practices.

Proactive Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvements and provides recommendations for improvements to optimize ServiceNow solutions.

Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of ServiceNow configurations and developments to ensure system stability, reliability, and accuracy. Lead and drive for test automation.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all ServiceNow configurations, customizations, and developments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 6 to 8 years of relevant experience as a ServiceNow Developer, preferably with HRSD/ HAM /Now Assist Virtual Agent/ITSM/CMDB product expertise (Minimum 6 years of experience in ServiceNow Development for any 2 modules except ITSM).

In-depth knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices for IT Service Management.

Developed and ran ATF test cases to verify functionality and ensure overall system stability.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to design effective ServiceNow solutions.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, effectively communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

ServiceNow mainline certification like CAD /HRSD/ CMDB/ SAM is highly desirable.

Understanding of Agile development methodologies is a plus.
