Responsibilities

  • Oversee round-the-clock security operations across the hospital campus.
  • Manage access control for patients, visitors, staff, vendors, and vehicles.
  • Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and other security equipment.
  • Conduct regular patrols to prevent theft, vandalism, disturbances.
  • Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort during treatments and stays.
  • Coordinate with local authorities during emergencies.
  • Develop emergency response plans and lead incident investigations.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise security staff; conduct drills and evaluations.
  • Enforce security policies, SOPs, and compliance with NABH where applicable.
  • Protect hospital assets and coordinate safety audits with maintenance and admin.
  • Collaborate with medical, nursing, admin and housekeeping teams.

Job description

Security Operations
  • Plan, organize, and oversee round-the-clock security operations across the hospital campus.
  • Ensure strict access control for patients, visitors, staff, vendors, and vehicles.
  • Monitor CCTV systems, alarm systems, and security equipment.
  • Conduct regular patrols to prevent theft, vandalism, trespassing, or disturbances.
Patient & Visitor Safety
  • Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort, especially during treatments, therapy sessions, and residential stays.
  • Manage crowd control during OPD hours, therapy schedules, and visiting hours.
  • Handle sensitive situations calmly, respecting the hospitals holistic and healing environment.
Emergency & Incident Management
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for fire, medical emergencies, natural disasters, and security threats.
  • Coordinate with fire services, police, and local authorities when required.
  • Lead investigations of security incidents, accidents, or violations and submit detailed reports.
Manpower Management
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise security guards and supervisors.
  • Conduct regular drills, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure guards maintain discipline, proper uniform, grooming, and courteous behavior.
  • Preparation of guard deployment duty chart, ensure and manage their weekly off and leave.
Policy & Compliance
  • Formulate and enforce security policies, SOPs, and standard hospital safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations, fire safety norms, and hospital accreditation requirements (NABH, if applicable).
  • Maintain all security-related documentation, logs, and records.
Asset & Infrastructure Protection
  • Safeguard hospital property, equipment, medicines, and herbal/natural therapy resources.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and administration for safety ,audits, risk assessments, Repair of fault lights, fountain and water leakage.
Coordination & Communication
  • Work closely with medical, nursing, administration, and housekeeping departments.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all security-related concerns.
