Job summary

Sterling & Wilson in Mumbai seeks an experienced procurement professional to manage techno-commercial activities for EPC projects. You will drive vendor sourcing, evaluate offers, and finalize contracts to ensure timely delivery and minimal risk.

Key duties include SAP MM handling, import/export coordination, and supplier performance reviews, with ongoing coordination with project teams and finance for payments and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in EPC T&D is preferred.
• Proficiency in SAP MM is required.
• Exposure to Import/Export and freight forwarding is desirable.
• Vendor development experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Floating enquiries to obtain techno-commercial offers in time.
• Evaluate commercial offers received.
• Perform cost-base analysis to finalize costs.
• Negotiate commercially after technical evaluation with vendors.
• Finalize contracts ensuring zero risk.
• Ensure documents post-order for technical evaluation.
• Manage contracts.
• Coordinate logistics with project execution to ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare procurement tracker.
• Exposure to SAP MM module.
• Exposure to Import, Export and freight forwarder processes.
• Develop new vendors.
• Periodically evaluate vendors on quality, delivery and cost.
• Coordinate payments with Finance and project team.

• Post technical evaluation report, Commercial negotiations with vendors
• Contract finalization ensuring zero risk
• Ensure availability of required documents post order for technical evaluation
• Contract management
• Ensuring timely delivery of material as per Project requirement including logistics in coordination with project execution team.
• Preparing Procurement tracker
• Required exposure to SAP MM Module
• Required exposure of Import, Export and freight forwarder
• New vendor development
• Periodic evaluation of vendors based on quality, delivery and cost performance
• Payment follow-up with Finance and execution coordination with project team.

Preferred candidate profile

Prior Experience in EPC T&D
