Job summary

Ness Digital Engineering is seeking a Senior Salesforce QA Engineer to join our delivery team. You will develop comprehensive test strategies, mentor junior QA members, and ensure Salesforce solutions meet business, functional, and technical requirements before deployment.

You will collaborate with Solution Architects, Developers, BAs, Product Owners, and stakeholders to drive quality across the SDLC, while leading QA activities across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 46 years of software quality assurance experience, including at least 3+ years focused on Salesforce platform testing.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, including standard and custom objects, security model, automation tools, data management, and deployment processes.
• Proven experience creating comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test cases from business requirements and user stories.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of test strategies, test plans, and test cases for Salesforce projects across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and custom platforms.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, UAT, and smoke testing across multiple Salesforce environments.
• Validate Salesforce configurations including Flows, Approval Processes, Validation Rules, Custom Objects, Record Types, Profiles, and Apex functionality.

Position : Senior Salesforce QA Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce QA Engineer to join our delivery team and serve as a key contributor to quality assurance efforts across Salesforce implementations and enhancements. This role is responsible for developing comprehensive test strategies, leading quality initiatives, mentoring junior QA team members, and ensuring Salesforce solutions meet business, functional, and technical requirements before deployment.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience testing Salesforce applications, integrations, and complex business processes, along with a deep understanding of Salesforce platform functionality and modern QA best practices. This individual will work closely with Solution Architects, Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and stakeholders to drive quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of test strategies, test plans, and test cases for Salesforce projects across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and custom platform solutions.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, user acceptance, and smoke testing across multiple Salesforce environments.
• Validate complex Salesforce configurations including Flows, Approval Processes, Validation Rules, Custom Objects, Record Types, Profiles, Permission Sets, and Apex-driven functionality.
• Test and validate integrations between Salesforce and external systems, including APIs, middleware platforms, data warehouses, ERP systems, and marketing platforms.
• Develop and maintain traceability between business requirements, user stories, and testing artifacts to ensure complete coverage.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and manage defects through resolution using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management tools.
• Partner closely with developers and architects to review requirements, identify quality risks, and ensure testability during solution design.
• Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with business stakeholders and provide detailed testing results and recommendations.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Salesforce testing tools such as Provar, Copado Robotic Testing, Selenium, or equivalent frameworks.
• Validate data migration activities, data integrity, and deployment outcomes across sandbox and production environments.
• Review release plans and participate in deployment readiness assessments to ensure quality standards are met before production releases.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing QA processes, testing standards, automation coverage, and best practices.
• Mentor junior QA team members and provide guidance on Salesforce testing methodologies and quality assurance practices.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, including standard and custom objects, security model, automation tools, data management, and deployment processes.
• Proven experience creating comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test cases from business requirements, process flows, and user stories.
• Experience testing Salesforce integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, middleware platforms, and third-party applications.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce release management and validation across multiple environments.
• Experience performing API, integration, and data validation testing.
• Proficiency with defect tracking and Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Ability to analyze complex business processes and identify potential quality risks and edge cases.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce Administrator Certification.
• Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification.
• Experience with test automation platforms such as Provar, Copado Robotic Testing, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with Salesforce DevOps and release management tools including Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT, or Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Experience testing Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Cloud, Field Service, Experience Cloud, or Service Cloud solutions.
• Experience validating large-scale data migrations using Data Loader, Dataloader.io, or ETL tools.
• Experience testing integrations with MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, Snowflake, or other enterprise platforms.
• Familiarity with Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce development concepts sufficient to support technical testing efforts.
• Experience leading QA efforts on enterprise Salesforce implementations with multiple workstreams and integration points.
