Role Description

The Senior Sales Engineer role is a full-time position based in Chennai with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, managing key accounts, and providing technical guidance to customers on bearings, tools, and related industrial products. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting customer visits, preparing proposals and quotations, coordinating with internal teams for order processing, and ensuring timely delivery and after-sales support. The Senior Sales Engineer will analyze customer needs, recommend suitable products, resolve technical issues, and contribute to sales strategies and forecasts. The role also requires maintaining accurate records in CRM or related systems and participating in product trainings and market development activities.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills to understand industrial applications and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Candidates should possess solid Sales and Customer Service skills to build relationships, negotiate deals, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
• Proven experience in industrial product sales (bearings, tools, lubricants, or similar) and familiarity with key brands and OEMs is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and travel within the region as required.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and CRM tools; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
