Job summary

Tunga Aerospace Industries Pvt. Ltd. in Thiruporur, Tamil Nadu, seeks an experienced Robotics Engineer to build autonomous robotic systems with ROS/ROS2, AI, and SLAM.

You will integrate LiDAR, cameras and GNSS, develop perception pipelines, and validate software in simulation and real-world environments. Candidates should have hands-on robotics software experience, strong C++/Python skills, and familiarity with UAV platforms (ArduPilot/PX4) and NVIDIA Jetson deployments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electronics, Mechatronics, AI or related field required; 5–7 years hands-on robotics software exp.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
  • Extensive experience with ROS/ROS2.
  • Hands-on experience in AI and Deep Learning.
  • Strong knowledge of OpenCV.
  • Experience with Point Cloud Library (PCL).
  • Strong understanding of Mapping, Localization, and SLAM.
  • Experience integrating LiDAR, Camera, IMU, GNSS and other sensors.
  • Experience with Linux development, Git, debugging and version control.
  • Experience with UAV/Drone software development and ArduPilot or PX4.
  • Experience using Mission Planner or QGroundControl.
  • Knowledge of GNSS-denied navigation, Visual SLAM, and VIO.
  • Experience in autonomous navigation and sensor fusion.
  • Deploying AI models on NVIDIA Jetson; familiar with CUDA, TensorRT, Docker, CI/CD pipelines.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Robotics Engineer to develop autonomous robotic systems with expertise in perception, localization, mapping, navigation, and AI-driven robotics. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in ROS-based development, computer vision, deep learning, and simulation environments. Experience in UAVs and autonomous vehicle platforms is an added advantage.

Mandatory Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electronics, Mechatronics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.5–7 years of hands‑on experience in robotics software development.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
  • Extensive experience with ROS/ROS2.
  • Hands‑on experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deep Learning.
  • Strong knowledge of OpenCV.
  • Experience with Point Cloud Library (PCL)
  • Strong understanding of Mapping, Localization, and SLAM.
  • Experience integrating LiDAR, Camera, IMU, GNSS, and other robotic sensors.
  • Experience with Linux development, Git, debugging, and software version control.

  • Familiarity with CUDA, TensorRT, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
Simulation Experience (Preferred)

Candidates with experience in one or more of the following simulation environments will be preferred:

  • AirSim
  • Gazebo
  • CARLA Simulator
  • CarMaker
  • Isaac Sim (desirable)
  • Unreal Engine or Unity‑based simulation environments (desirable)
Preferred Domain Experience
