Job summary

MAX Healthcare Institute Limited is looking for a Clinical Associate/Senior Resident Anesthetist to provide high-quality pre‑anesthesia, intraoperative, and post-operative anesthesia care for surgical patients. The role requires strong clinical expertise, emergency readiness, and the ability to supervise departmental staff to uphold patient safety and care standards.

Ideal candidates hold MBBS with MD/DNB/DA qualifications and have 0–3 years of post MD/DNB/DA experience in a respected hospital.

Qualifications

• MBBS, MD / DNB / DA.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience post MD/DNB/DA in a renowned hospital.
• Exposure to pain clinic and critical care is an added advantage.
• Strong man management and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality clinical care to surgical patients and ensure timely attention and intervention for inpatients.
• Demonstrate comprehensive pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative care for all cases handled in the unit.
• Be available for emergency calls and actively participate in CMEs, journal clubs, and conferences.
• Supervise all nursing, paramedical, and non-medical staff to maintain high standards of departmental operations.
• Coordinate on matters relating to selection of medical consumables and equipment to be procured.
• Facilitate academic teaching and training programs for OT nurses, technicians, and ICU staff.
• Ensure optimum utilisation of resources across the department.
• Maintain complete orientation of the IMS system of the hospital and full awareness of the Disaster Management Programme (DMP).
• Comply with service quality processes, environmental and occupational policies of the OT, and patient safety policies.
• Maintain professional grooming, punctuality, and adherence to company policies and duties as per the planned monthly roster.

• - Supervise all nursing, paramedical, and non-medical staff to maintain high standards of departmental operations.
