Job summary

Max Healthcare is seeking an experienced anesthesia professional to provide comprehensive pre-anesthesia, intraoperative, and post-operative care across our operating theatres and ICU. The role requires coordinating with surgeons, nursing staff, and technicians to ensure high-quality patient care.

You'll supervise nursing and para-medical teams, participate in CME activities, and help implement safety, disaster management, and waste disposal policies.

Qualifications

Experience and job knowledge in anesthesia.

Responsibilities

Provide direct or indirect accurate medical attention to all cases needing anesthesia before any surgical procedure.
Provide high quality Pre-anesthesia, anesthesia and Post-operative anesthesia care in the hospital.
Interface effectively with patients, technicians, nursing staff and service users.
Demonstrate effective application of technical & professional knowledge.
Ensure pre, INTRA and post-operative care of all cases in the unit.
Be available for emergency calls of the OT & ICU.
Supervise nursing/para-medical & non-medical staff to maintain high standards.
Participate in CME and Journal clubs & conferences.
Coordinate on matters relating to infrastructure and maintenance support, selection of consumables and equipment to be procured.
Facilitate teaching and training for OT Nurses, technicians, ICU staff.
Ensure optimum utilization of resources by self and subordinates.
Adhere to company policies and practices; be well groomed and punctual.
Orient to QMS and EMS system of Hospital; aware of Disaster Management Programme (DMP).
Comply with patient safety policy and environmental & occupational policies; safe utilization of equipment and proper waste disposal system.

III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To actively participate in CME and Journal clubs & conferences.
To co-ordinate on matters relating to Provision of infrastructure and
maintenance support, selection of medical consumables and equipment to be procured
To facilitate teaching and training programs of O.T. Nurses, Technicians,
I.C.U. staff.
To ensure optimum utilization of resources by himself and subordinates
To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies and practices.
To have complete orientation of QMS and EMS system of Hospital.
To have complete Awareness about Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of the hospital.
To Comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational
issues & policies of the respective area

To ensure safe utilization of equipments and proper waste disposal system.
