Job summary

Marsh Risk India in Gandhinagar (Gift City) is hiring a Senior Relationship Manager. This hybrid role requires working in-office at least three days a week and focuses on relationship management, risk submissions and market coordination to service insurers, reinsurers and clients.

Candidate should have 5-8 years in the insurance industry, with experience in corporate relationship management and a service background; strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Relationship management: build and maintain strong client relationships with existing clients, insurers, reinsurers, underwriters and market participants for account servicing and retention.
• Documentation and underwriting submissions: prepare and coordinate underwriting submissions, risk information, placement slips and relevant documentation for evaluation and placement of risks.
• Risk placement and market coordination: facilitate placement of reinsurance risks with markets, coordinating with insurers, reinsurers and internal stakeholders for favorable terms.
• Account retention and servicing: proactively manage existing accounts, ensure renewals and follow-ups, address client requirements and strengthen relationships.
• PEMA, Trade Credit, and Inward Transactions: support execution and servicing within Marsh India’s Gift City operations under IFSCA guidelines.
• Regulatory compliance and administration: ensure adherence to policies and regulatory requirements, maintain records and complete reporting and administrative activities.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our General Managament team at Marsh Risk India, a Marsh business. This role will be based in Gandhinagar - Gift City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Senior Relationship Manager

We will count on you to:

Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with existing clients, insurers, reinsurers, underwriters, and other market participants to ensure effective account servicing, client satisfaction, and retention of business.
Documentation and Underwriting Submissions: Prepare and coordinate comprehensive underwriting submissions, risk information, placement slips, and other relevant documentation required for the evaluation and placement of insurance and reinsurance risks.
Risk Placement and Market Coordination: Facilitate the placement of reinsurance risks with appropriate and competitive markets, coordinating with insurers, reinsurers, and internal stakeholders to secure optimal terms and conditions for clients.
Account Retention and Servicing: Proactively manage existing accounts, ensure timely renewals and follow-ups, address client requirements, and identify opportunities to strengthen business relationships and retain the existing portfolio.
PEMA, Trade Credit, and Inward Transactions: Support the execution and servicing of PEMA, Trade Credit, Inward Reinsurance, and other permissible transactions within the scope of Marsh India’s GIFT City operations, subject to applicable IFSCA regulations and guidelines.
Regulatory Compliance and Administration: Ensure adherence to internal policies, applicable regulatory requirements, and IFSCA guidelines; maintain accurate transaction records and compliance documentation; and complete the necessary reporting, administrative, and operational activities within prescribed timelines.

What you need to have:

• 5-8 years of experience in insurance industry.

• Corporate Relationship Management / Business Solution Provider from a service background.

• Ability to manage diverse client cultures i.e. Indian Corporate, MNC Corporation and PSU clients.
• Required Domain knowledge
