Job summary

Marsh in Pune is seeking a Senior Specialist – Finance and Accounting (Grade C2) to support statutory reporting, tax compliance and finalization of accounts in a hybrid setup.

You will coordinate with local controllers, prepare templates in Caseware/Workiva, assist audits, and drive process improvements while ensuring deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA with 2–3 years in statutory accounting, taxation and finalization of accounts
• Commerce graduate with 6+ years in statutory accounting, taxation and finalization of accounts
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Diploma in IFRS; experience in insurance sector

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review annual statutory accounts for entities as part of COE
• Time-bound submissions of annual statutory accounts per regulatory timelines
• Engage with local controllers and statutory accounting team to create templates and notes to accounts
• Provide audit support until signing of final statutory report
• Prepare tax returns and other local compliances
• Maintain operation tracker and ensure accuracy
• Adopt best practices across regions and suggest process improvements
• Prepare and maintain Process Notes (DPMs) up to date

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Management Accounting (COE) team as part of our risk, reinsurance, and capital business at Marsh. This role will be based in Pune . This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Senior Specialist – Finance and Accounting (Grade C2)

This role supports annual statutory reporting and local compliance for multiple entities, including preparing statutory accounts, tax returns, and regulatory filings within deadlines. It involves coordinating with local controllers, statutory accounting teams, and auditors to complete templates, notes to accounts, and final signed reports. The role also ensures tracker discipline, documentation updates, and continuous process improvement across regions.

We will count on you to:

· Preparation and review of Annual Statutory accounts for entities as part of COE

· Time bound submissions of annual statutory accounts per the regulatory timelines

· Engaging with local controllers and statutory accounting team for creation of templates in Statutory reporting tool (Caseware / Workiva) and Notes to accounts before the due date of filing

· Audit support until signing of final statutory report

· Preparation of tax returns and other local compliances

· Adherence to operation tracker set for the team and ensure completeness with accuracy

· Providing assistance in filing of timely regulatory returns

· Adoption of best practices across regions and suggesting improvements to the process

· Preparation and maintaining the DPM.s (Process notes) upto date in the format adopted by AO

· Supporting team / process/ organization initiatives

What you need to have:

· Qualified CA with 2-3 years of experience in statutory accounting, taxation and finalization of accounts

· Strong commerce graduate with 6+ years of accounting experience in statutory accounting, taxation and finalization of accounts

· Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices

· Prior experience in working in similar roles
