Job summary

Jay Finance Private Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Recovery Manager to lead the collections and recovery function for its loan portfolio. This is a team-leadership role with full ownership of recovery performance from strategy and target-setting to compliance and team development.

The ideal candidate has managed delinquent payday loan portfolios, can design and implement recovery strategies, set targets, and drive performance in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Payday Loans is mandatory.
• Experience managing a team of Collection/Recovery Executives with ownership of targets.
• Strong negotiation, escalation-handling and customer-facing communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and CRM / Collection Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the collections and recovery function for the company's loan portfolio, with full ownership of recovery performance.
• Manage and monitor overdue/delinquent payday loan accounts across DPD and delinquency buckets, ensuring timely action at each stage.
• Design and implement effective collection and recovery strategies to maximise recovery and minimise portfolio delinquency.
• Set and monitor daily, weekly and monthly recovery targets for the collections team, and track performance against KPIs and assigned portfolios.
• Review MIS and collection reports regularly to identify high-risk accounts, portfolio trends and gaps requiring immediate attention.
• Personally handle escalated, disputed or high-value recovery cases.
• Conduct regular one-on-ones and performance reviews with team members; provide structured coaching and feedback to improve individual and team output.
• Ensure the entire team operates within the company's Code of Conduct, RBI Fair Practices Code and applicable regulatory guidelines on debt recovery.

Jay Finance Private Limited, an RBI-registered NBFC, is looking for an experienced and target-driven Senior Recovery Manager to lead the collections and recovery function for its loan portfolio.

This is a team-leadership role for someone who has already managed delinquent payday loan portfolios and collection teams and can own recovery performance end-to-end from strategy and target-setting to compliance and team development.
