Job summary

AGF Tecnik, a division of AGF Group Inc., is seeking an experienced Senior Rebar Detailer to join our Tiruchirappalli, India on-site team. The role involves preparing accurate rebar shop drawings and reinforcement details from architectural and structural drawings, ensuring compliance with project standards.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, coordinating with engineers, mentoring junior detailers, and delivering precise detailing within deadlines.

Qualifications

• 2 to 8 years of relevant experience in rebar detailing.
• Strong knowledge of rebar detailing and shop drawings.
• Experience reading architectural/structural drawings and the ability to interpret them accurately.
• CADS RC experience is a plus.

• Perform rebar quantity take-offs and assist with estimation activities when required.

• Maintain documentation, drawing records, and revision control.
• Support quality control and ensure drawings meet project standards.
• Mentor and guide junior rebar detailers and support their development.
• Ensure deliverables are completed on time and accurately.

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Rebar Detailer to join our team in Tiruchirappalli. This is a full-time, on-site position.

The Senior Rebar Detailer will be responsible for preparing accurate rebar shop drawings and reinforcement details based on architectural and structural drawings, ensuring compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate rebar shop drawings and reinforcement details from architectural and structural plans.
• Interpret and review structural drawings, specifications, and design documents.
• Perform rebar quantity take-offs and assist with estimation activities when required.
• Coordinate drawings with project managers, engineers, and other disciplines.

• Maintain proper documentation, drawing records, and revision control.
• Support quality control and ensure drawings meet required accuracy and project standards.
• Mentor and guide junior rebar detailers and support their technical development.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed accurately and within the required deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong knowledge and practical experience in Rebar Detailing and Rebar Shop Drawings.
• Good understanding of reinforcement steel and structural systems used in building and infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and structural plans.
• Experience with CADS RC or similar rebarcad software will be an added advantage.
• 2 to 8 years of relevant experience in rebar detailing or structural detailing, preferably in a senior or lead role.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work accurately under tight project deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to mentor and coordinate with junior rebar detailers.
• Willingness to work in an on-site office environment in Tiruchirappalli.
