Hill International in Kolkata seeks a senior Civil Quantity Surveyor to manage quantity take-offs for building projects (residential, commercial, hotel, hospital). You will prepare BOQs, support cost estimation, and assist tendering with cost control throughout design and execution stages.

The ideal candidate has 10–12 years of building project experience, proficiency with Cost X, AutoCAD, and MS Excel, and a strong grasp of IS 1200/POMI standards. On-site work is expected.

Formación

• Degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
• Minimum 10–12 years' experience with building projects.
• Experience with IS 1200, POMI or similar standards is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake quantity take-offs for civil, structural, and architectural works using IS 1200, POMI or similar standards.
• Use Cost X and AutoCAD for quantity take-off and summarize quantities into BOQs or cost plans.
• Draft or validate Bills of Quantities with bulk checks.
• Support cost estimation by identifying material and labour rates and rate analysis.
• Assist in tendering processes and documentation.
• Prepare interim payment recommendations and maintain cost control records.
• Contribute to cost reporting, cashflow forecasting, and variation valuation.
• Apply construction tech knowledge to cost planning during design and execution.

Undertake quantity works for Building projects - Residential, Commercial, Hotel, Hospital, Fitout, Industry / warehouse (depending on project requirement)

Responsibilities

• Undertake quantity take-offs for Civil, Structure, Architectural works using IS 1200, POMI or other similar standards.
  
• Use software tools (e.g., Cost X, AutoCAD) for quantity take-off and summarize quantities, transfer data into BOQs or cost plans including carrying out bulk checks.
  
• Draft or Validate Bills of Quantities including carrying out bulk checks.
  
• Support cost estimation activities by identifying basic material and labour rates and understanding rate analysis for standard work items.
  
• Having basic understanding on tendering process and documentation.
  
• Prepare interim payment recommendations, maintain cost control documentation, and manage change control processes.
  
• Contribute to cost reporting, cashflow forecasting, valuation of variations, tracking of risk allowances, and preparation of final accounts.
  
• Apply working knowledge of construction technologies and methods in cost planning tasks. Assess cost implications of materials, labour and construction methods during design and execution stages.
  
• Should be good in CAD, Cost-X (qty take off tools) and other quantification / estimation software.
  
• Good skills on MS excel and word and ability to learn and adapt to customized software.
