Job summary

Hill International, Inc. in India seeks a Civil Quantity Surveyor to undertake quantity take-offs for Civil, Structure and Architectural works, draft BOQs, and prepare cost plans across design stages. Proficiency with CAD, Cost-X and MS Excel/Word is required, with a Civil Engineering degree.

Role involves supporting value engineering, tender estimates, and cost plan reporting, in a collaborative project environment. On-site work in Gurugram district is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake quantity take-offs for Civil, Structure, Architectural works using IS 1200, POMI or other similar standards.
• Use Cost X, AutoCAD and other tools for quantity take-offs and summarize quantities, transfer data into BOQs or cost plans with bulk checks.
• Draft or validate Bills of Quantities including carrying out bulk checks.
• Prepare cost plans at Concept, Schematic, and Design Development stages.
• Analyse and adjust unit rates, price BOQ items and support value engineering; collect market quotations.
• Assist in tender estimates and cost plan reporting.

Undertake quantity works for Building projects - Residential, Commercial, Hotel, Hospital, Fitout, Industry / warehouse (depending on project requirement)

Responsibilities

• Undertake quantity take-offs for Civil, Structure, Architectural works using IS 1200, POMI or other similar standards.
• Use software tools (e.g., Cost X, AutoCAD) for quantity take-off and summarize quantities, transfer data into BOQs or cost plans including carrying out bulk checks.
• Draft or Validate Bills of Quantities including carrying out bulk checks.
• Prepare cost plans at different design stages including Concept, Schematic, and Design Development.
• Analyse and adjust unit rates, price BOQ items, support value engineering exercises, collect market quotations, and assist in tender estimates and cost plan reporting.
• Having basic understanding on tendering process and documentation.
• Support post-contract activities by understanding key contract terms and post contract work process flow.
• Assisting in the preparation of payment recommendation reports.
• Having basic knowledge of key building components and construction methods in construction related to Civil works.
• Should be good in CAD, Cost-X (qty take off tools) and other quantification / estimation software.
• Good skills on MS excel and word and ability to learn and adapt to customized software.
