Job summary

Shakti Group 121 is seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation, budgeting and procurement for real estate and construction projects in the Mumbai region.

You will prepare BOQs, review bills, monitor budgets and support planning with detailed cost analysis. The role requires 7–10 years of experience, strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Civil Engineering required with 7–10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Billing and Cost Management.
• Strong knowledge of Quantity Surveying, Estimation, Costing and Planning.
• Proficient in BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, rate analysis and billing.
• Knowledge of construction materials, specs and execution methods.
• Ability to interpret civil/structural drawings and specifications.
• MS Excel and estimation/planning software proficiency.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Good coordination and communication, and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review BOQs, quantity take-offs, estimates, and cost sheets for construction projects.
• Conduct detailed quantity surveying and rate analysis for civil and finishing works.
• Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, and comparative statements.
• Monitor project quantities and costs against approved budgets.
• Review contractor/subcontractor bills, measurements, and work orders.
• Coordinate with Project, Planning, Procurement and Finance teams for cost matters.
• Assist in project planning, budgeting and cost forecasting.
• Identify variations, deviations and potential cost savings.
• Verify drawings, specifications, and scope for quantity calculations.
• Prepare and maintain MIS reports on quantities, costs, budgets and progress.
• Support tendering and procurement through estimation, BOQ prep and rate comparison.
• Ensure proper documentation of measurements, estimates, variations and costs.
• Knowledge of MEP drawings.
