Job summary

Paras Engineering in Gujarat, India, is seeking a QA/QC Engineer with 3–8 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and industrial equipment manufacturing. The role covers end-to-end quality control, from incoming material inspection to QMS audits and customer complaint resolution.

The ideal candidate will handle welding compliance, document control, CAPA/8D investigations, and ensure conformance to ASME, ISO, and EN standards.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Metallurgy Engineering.
• Experience of 3–7 years in Sheet Metal Fabrication, Heat Exchangers, or Heavy Engineering.
• Certifications preferred: Internal Auditor for ISO 9001/14001/45001; NDT Level II (UT/RT/VT).

Responsibilities

• Stage & Final Inspection: conduct incoming material checks, in-process inspections, and final QA sign-offs on sheet metal and welded assemblies.
• Welding Compliance & Documentation: prepare Weld Maps, Weld Plans, and WPS/PQR/WPQ documents per ASME, ISO, and EN standards.
• Testing & Calibration: perform visual VT inspection, coordinate NDT UT/RT testing, conduct dimensional checks, and log instrument calibration.
• Material Traceability: inspect raw materials and review MTC/TC against ASME requirements.
• Problem Solving (CAPA/8D): investigate defects and customer complaints using 7 QC tools, 8D, RCA, and NCRs.
• QMS & Audits: maintain QMS documentation and participate in ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 internal audits.

Job Overview

We are looking for a QA/QC Engineer with 3 to 8 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and industrial equipment manufacturing. Key Responsibilities

• Stage & Final Inspection: Conduct incoming material checks, in-process inspections, and final QA sign-offs on sheet metal and welded assemblies.
• Welding Compliance & Documentation: Prepare Weld Maps, Weld Plans, and WPS/PQR/WPQ documents per ASME, ISO, and EN standards.
• Testing & Calibration: Perform visual inspection (VT), coordinate NDT testing (UT/RT), conduct precision dimensional checks, and maintain instrument calibration logs.
• Material Traceability: Inspect raw materials and review Mill Test Certificates (MTC/TC) against ASME requirements.
• Problem Solving (CAPA/8D): Investigate internal defects and customer complaints using 7 QC tools, 8D methodology, RCA, and issue NCRs.
• QMS & Audits: Maintain Quality Management System documentation and participate in ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 internal audits.

Key Requirements / Candidate Profile

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Metallurgy Engineering.
• Experience: 3 to 7 years in Sheet Metal Fabrication, Heat Exchangers, or Heavy Engineering.
• Certifications (Preferred): Internal Auditor for ISO 9001, 14001, or 45001; NDT Level II (UT/RT/VT).
• Technical Skills:
  
  • Blueprint reading with GD&T and welding symbols.
  • Hands-on with precision measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height & Bore Gauges).
  • Strong understanding of welding defects, ASME codes, CAPA/8D, NCR, and 5S.
