Job summary

JobItUs is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to ensure quality standards across engineering activities and projects. The role focuses on QA/QC implementation, inspection planning, material verification, welding and NDT inspections, and documentation control.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ASME, ASTM, API standards and collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to drive non-conformity resolution and continuous quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in mechanical/metallic engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures per ISO 9001:2015 and project requirements.
• Coordinate inspections for materials, welding, fabrication, and NDT activities.
• Review MTCs/MTRs and ensure material traceability and compliance.
• Review WPS/PQR, NCRs, CAPA, MRB documents and quality dossiers.
• Prepare and monitor Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Coordinate with manufacturers, TPIs, clients, and internal teams for inspections.
• Maintain audit-ready quality records and documentation control.
• Assist with vendor evaluations and supplier audits.
• Mentor junior quality staff and drive continuous QA/QC improvements.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer to ensure the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of quality standards across engineering activities and projects.

The role involves quality assurance, inspection planning, material verification, welding and NDT inspection, documentation control, non-conformance management, and coordination with clients, vendors, third-party inspectors, and internal teams. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ASME, ASTM, API, and relevant project/client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and project requirements.

• Ensure compliance with applicable ASME, ASTM, API, ISO, and client specifications.

• Prepare, implement, and monitor Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).

• Conduct and coordinate inspections related to materials, welding, fabrication, and NDT activities.

• Review Material Test Certificates (MTCs/MTRs) and verify material compliance and traceability.

• Review WPS, PQR, inspection reports, NCRs, and other quality documentation.

• Coordinate inspections with manufacturers, suppliers, Third-Party Inspectors (TPIs), and clients.

• Review supplier/manufacturer documents for completeness and compliance before client submission.

• Prepare and compile Material Record Books (MRBs), quality dossiers, and final project documentation.

• Identify, document, and follow up on Non-Conformities (NCRs).

• Support Root Cause Analysis, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

• Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready quality records.

• Review and update Purchase Order notes, material specifications, and inspection requirements after order booking.

• Assist with vendor evaluations, supplier audits, and material certification verification.

• Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams for inspections, testing, documentation, and material requirements.

• Communicate with clients regarding inspection schedules, documentation, and quality requirements.

• Provide early alerts regarding potential quality issues that may affect project schedules or client requirements.

• Support internal audits and quality compliance initiatives.

• Mentor junior quality staff and site technicians on quality procedures and inspection practices.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA/QC processes and systems.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures and quality management systems.

• Good understanding of welding inspection, NDT, fabrication, and material inspection.

• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ASME, ASTM, and API standards.

• Experience in ITP preparation and inspection coordination.

• Strong knowledge of MTC/MTR verification and material traceability.

• Experience handling WPS/PQR, NCR, CAPA, MRB, and quality dossiers.

• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.

• Ability to identify quality issues and perform root cause analysis.

• Good communication and coordination skills with clients, suppliers, TPIs, and internal departments.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize inspection and documentation activities.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in Oil & Gas, engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, pressure vessels, piping, or industrial equipment will be preferred.

Education

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

5–10 years of relevant QA/QC experience, preferably within Oil & Gas, engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial projects.
