Job summary

SenecaGlobal in Hyderabad, India, is seeking a Senior QA Lead to drive quality across multiple products and release cycles. You will own QA strategy, plan, execution, and reporting, with hands-on testing and automation to elevate test coverage and release readiness.

You will build and mentor a QA team, collaborate with engineering, product, and leadership, and push back on timelines when quality gates are at risk, while delivering dashboards on test coverage, defects, and release status.

Senior QA Lead

Location:

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software Products using Angular and Microsoft technologies.
• Own QA strategy, planning, execution, reporting, and process improvement across multiple products and release cycles.
• Review plan.md documents, requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and missing test scenarios
• Define risk-based test plans, quality gates, entry and exit criteria, and release-readiness standards.
• Lead manual, functional, integration, regression, API, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Build and improve test automation frameworks, preferably using Playwright, and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive AI-assisted testing for test case generation, edge-case identification, test data creation, defect analysis, and test optimisation.
• Review AI-generated test cases and prompts to ensure accuracy, relevance, completeness, and appropriate coverage.
• Maintain regression suite health and continuously convert high-value manual test cases into automation.
• Own QA sign-off for releases by reviewing test completion, automation results, defects, risks, and overall product readiness.
• Push back on unrealistic timelines when testing coverage or quality gates are at risk.
• Build QA dashboards and release reports covering test coverage, pass/fail rates, automation levels, defect leakage, regression health, and release readiness.
• Analyse quality trends, production defects, and recurring issues to drive preventive improvements.
• Lead, mentor, and guide QA engineers while establishing clear ownership and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, business, and leadership teams to influence quality and release decisions.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering.
• Proven ability to independently manage QA across multiple products.
• Hands-on expertise in manual testing and test automation.
• Strong experience with Playwright is preferred.
• Experience with API testing, database validation, web applications, integrations, and CI/CD.
• Practical knowledge of AI-assisted testing and AI-generated test cases.
• Strong understanding of QA metrics, dashboards, defect analytics, and release governance.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, products, teams, and release timelines.

Preferred Profile

• Around 10–12 years or more of relevant QA experience is preferred.
• Experience as a QA Lead, Test Lead, or Quality Engineering Lead.
• Experience managing parallel product releases and distributed teams.
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, cloud applications, and continuous testing.
• Selection will focus primarily on leadership maturity, technical capability, end-to-end ownership, automation expertise, AI-assisted testing experience, and stakeholder influence, rather than years of experience alone.
