Job summary

Moder Solutions in Chennai seeks an experienced QA Lead to own testing strategy, develop comprehensive test plans, and drive end-to-end QA across multiple projects. You will mentor junior engineers and coordinate with distributed teams to ensure high-quality releases.

The role requires 7–12 years in QA, strong SQL and API testing skills, proficiency with JIRA/Zephyr, and solid leadership and communication capabilities to manage priorities and SLA commitments.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Functional Testing and end-to-end quality assurance processes.
• Hands-on experience in API Testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Strong expertise in SQL for data validation, analysis, and backend testing.
• Proven experience in Test Strategy, Test Planning, Test Execution Management, and Defect Management.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, Scrum, and QA best practices.
• Experience in JIRA and Zephyr for test and defect management.
• Ability to independently lead testing efforts across multiple projects and releases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.
• Experience coordinating with distributed teams and managing quality deliverables.
• Drive QA activities independently with minimal supervision.
• Lead quality discussions, release readiness reviews, and stakeholder meetings.
• Manage testing timelines, priorities, risks, and resource planning.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and establish testing best practices.
• Provide regular status reporting, quality metrics, and executive-level updates.
• Act as the primary QA point of contact for project stakeholders.

Experience

• 7-12 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or related roles.
• Proven experience in independently handling BAU projects and production support testing activities.
• Experience in creating test plans, test strategies, defect management, and quality reporting.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant certifications in Software Testing, Agile, Selenium, or Quality Assurance will be an added advantage.
