Job summary

Suncorp Solutions, a Mumbai-based staffing company with pan-India footprint, seeks a Senior Purchase Executive for IT System Integration. The role covers end-to-end procurement of IT products guided by BOMs, quotations and project requirements.

You will build OEM/distributor partnerships, compare bids, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, and ensure timely procurement with proper documentation for projects across India.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end IT procurement based on BOMs and project requirements
• Develop and maintain relationships with OEMs, distributors, dealers and channel partners
• Obtain multiple quotations and prepare commercial comparison statements
• Negotiate pricing, discounts, payment terms and delivery schedules
• Verify vendor authorization, product availability, warranty and licensing
• Identify alternate vendors for better pricing and availability
• Maintain updated vendor and price databases
• Coordinate with Sales/Presales/Finance for timely procurement and invoicing
• Ensure materials reach project/customer locations within timelines
• Handle partial deliveries, DOA, replacements and warranty issues

Job Description

IT Procurement

H andleend-to-end procurement of IT products based on approved BOMs, quotations andproject requirements.

Procure( 5 minimum points match)

• Servers, storage and backupsolutions
• Switches, routers and networkingequipment
• Firewalls and network-securityproducts
• CCTV and surveillance products
• Access-control systems
• Data-centre equipment and racks
• UPS and power-related ITinfrastructure
• Structured cabling andaccessories
• IT peripherals and consumables

• Develop and maintain relationshipswith OEMs, authorized distributors, dealers and channel partners.
• Obtain multiple quotations andprepare commercial comparison statements.
• Negotiate pricing, discounts, paymentterms, credit period, freight and delivery schedules.
• Verify vendor authorization, productavailability, warranty and licensing requirements.
• Identify alternate vendors for betterpricing and availability.
• Maintain updated vendor and pricedatabases.

Project Procurement

• Coordinate closely with Sales,Presales, Project, Technical and Finance teams.
• Understand project BOMs and ensureprocurement matches the required make, model, specifications and quantity.
• Check stock availability and leadtimes before placing orders
• Ensure materials reachproject/customer locations within agreed timelines.
• Follow up continuously with vendorsuntil complete delivery.
• Handle partial deliveries, shortages,DOA/damaged products and replacement requirements.

Purchase Order & Documentation

• Prepareand release Purchase Orders (POs) after receiving the required internalapprovals.
• EnsurePO terms accurately reflect agreed commercial and technical requirements.
• TrackPO status and maintain procurement records.
• Coordinatewith Finance for invoice verification and payment processing.
• Maintainproper documentation for purchases, warranties and licenses.

Required Skills

• Strongknowledge of IT hardware, networking, cybersecurity and infrastructureproducts.
• Goodunderstanding of the IT distribution/channel market.
• Excellentfollow-up and coordination skills.
• Goodknowledge of MS Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables andcomparison sheets.
• Experiencewith ERP / procurement software.
• Abilityto read and understand IT BOMs, quotations and product specifications.
• Strongcommercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Abilityto manage multiple project requirements simultaneously.

Preferred OEM / Product Knowledge

• Candidateswith procurement experience involving brands such as Cisco, HPE, Dell,Lenovo, Fortinet, Sophos, Palo Alto Networks, Microsoft, Veeam, APC/Schneider,Hikvision, Axis or equivalent IT/OEM products will be preferred.

Requirements

Qualification

• Bachelor'sdegree in Commerce,Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, IT or a related discipline.
• Acertification/course in Procurement, Supply Chain or IT would be anadvantage.

Ideal Candidate

Theideal candidate will be a hands-on IT procurement professional whounderstands both the commercial and technical side of system-integrationpurchases. They should be comfortable dealing with distributors and OEMpartners, negotiating project pricing, comparing technical BOMs, trackingdeliveries and working under tight project deadlines.
