Job summary

Flipspaces in Bengaluru is seeking a capable construction site manager for commercial interior projects. The role requires strong leadership on site, effective interaction with design professionals, consultants and clients, and supervision of 3–4 site supervisors to ensure timely, high-quality delivery within budget.

You will oversee procurement coordination, labour planning, vendor engagement, safety and documentation, while aligning with Contracts Manager to optimize plans and costs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction and timely completion of interior projects.
• Interact professionally with design professionals, consultants and clients while directing site teams.
• Identify work fronts, manage labour and lead 3–4 site supervisors.
• Engage with vendors to ensure timely material delivery and execution on site.
• Manage day‑to‑day site operations to meet time, budget and quality constraints.
• Ensure adequate labour and subcontract resources on site.
• Coordinate material requisition and deliveries per construction programme.
• Handle unforeseen delays and update programs with Contracts Manager/BU Head.
• Plan site facilities and logistics; ensure equipment is fit for purpose.
• Maintain workmanship and material quality per specifications and safety regs.
• Ensure site team and subcontractors follow common standards.
• Regularly coordinate with procurement for timely actions.
• Maintain flawless documentation for management and clients.
• Review project plans and explore cost-saving measures and construction issues.
• Assist estimator in budget preparation and general conditions budgeting.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing overall construction and timely completion of interior projects assigned.
• The successful candidate must possess the knowledge, experience and confidence to engage and professionally interact with the design professionals, consultants and client while successfully directing the Site Supervisors, Estimator, and other construction-related personnel in planning, coordinating and safely executing the work in accordance with the contract documents schedule and budget.
• Identifying work front, required labour count and managing a team of 3-4 Site supervisors to ensure the timely execution and quality of each project.
• Engaging with vendors and ensuring timely delivery of materials and execution on the client site, understanding their concerns and taking necessary actions.
• Day‑to‑day management of operations on site, ensuring that the project is brought to a successful completion and meets the required time, budget and quality constraints.
• Ensuring adequate labour and sub‑contract resource is available on site utilising the agreed agency list.
• Requisition of all materials and overseeing the deliveries, ensuring they are done in adequate time, in line with the construction programme and procurement schedule.
• Ensuring management of any unforeseen delays.
• Regular monitoring and liaison with the Contracts Manager/BU Head for stage/section programmes as required.
• Plan and efficiently organise the site facilities and logistics, ensuring all equipment on site is fit for purpose and only operated by appropriately trained staff.
• Ensure workmanship and material standards are achieved in accordance with specifications, building regulations, health and safety legislation and quality standards.
• Ensure site team and sub-contractors are following common operational standards.
• Regular coordination with the procurement team.
• Ensuring flawless and regular documentation for the management and clients.
• Reviewing project plans and specifications and working with building design schedule, possible cost‑saving measures and potential construction problems.
• Assisting the estimator in preparation of the project budget.
• Preparing the general conditions budget.
