Job summary

Genius Consultants seeks an experienced Civil Construction Project Manager to lead end-to-end renovation and new-build projects in India. You will review drawings, BOQs, and specifications, and develop execution plans, schedules, and material requirements.

You will coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and client representatives, and oversee on-site activities from pre-construction through completion.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10 years of relevant experience in commercial construction, renovation, fit-out, or refurbishment.
• Strong hands-on experience in site execution and project management.
• Experience managing multiple contractors and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Knowledge of BOQ, estimation, billing, rate analysis, quantity measurement, and cost control.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of end-to-end civil construction and renovation activities from mobilization to handover.
• Review drawings, BOQs, specs, site conditions, and project requirements.
• Develop detailed project execution plans, schedules, manpower plans, and material requirements.
• Manage day-to-day site execution including demolition, civil works, masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, painting, and finishes.
• Coordinate with architects, structural and MEP consultants, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and client representatives.
• Plan and monitor work of civil contractors, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Ensure execution as per approved drawings, specs, BOQ, quality standards, and construction method.
• Monitor progress against baseline schedule and take corrective action as needed.
• Manage procurement and timely availability of materials, manpower, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Check measurements, contractor bills, variations, and quantities before certification.
• Identify risks, issues, and site constraints and resolve proactively.
• Maintain control over costs, wastage, and resource utilization.
• Conduct regular site meetings and prepare progress reports.
• Ensure coordination between civil, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, interiors, and other services.
• Supervise testing, inspections, snag rectification, finishing works, and handover.
• Maintain site safety procedures, statutory requirements, and quality-control processes.
• Maintain project documentation including drawings, RFIs, approvals, work orders, inspection records, and as-built information.
• Coordinate final completion, snagging, documentation, and handover to the client.

• Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera, AutoCAD, Excel, and project reporting tools.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage a project from pre‑construction through completion and handover.
