Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Control Engineer with 8 to 12 years of expertise to oversee cost, schedule, risk, and performance management for large-scale civil construction and infrastructure projects. This role serves as the analytical backbone of project execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in strict alignment with contractual specifications.

  • Schedule Development & Management: Lead the creation, updating, and maintenance of baseline schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, incorporating detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and resource loading.
  • Cost Control & Budgeting: Monitor project expenditures, track committed costs versus actuals, and manage the overall project budget to prevent cost overruns.
  • Earned Value Management (EVM): Implement EVM techniques to analyze project performance, track Cost Performance Index (CPI) and Schedule Performance Index (SPI), and forecast project completion trends.
  • Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Generate comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for senior management, clients, and stakeholders, detailing physical progress against planned milestones.
  • Change Management & Claims Analysis: Evaluate engineering variations, site instructions, and scope changes, analyzing their direct impact on project timelines and budgets to support delay claims.
  • Risk & Delay Mitigation: Identify potential bottlenecks, critical path delays, and financial risks early, formulating proactive mitigation strategies with site managers and quantity surveyors.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with Planning, Procurement, Contracts & Billing, and Site Execution teams to ensure seamless data alignment across all project phases.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Experience: 8 to 12 years of dedicated project controls experience within the civil engineering, heavy infrastructure, or commercial construction sector.
