Job summary

Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology India Pvt. Ltd. (Part of Sandvik Group) seeks a Senior Production Support Engineer to be the on-site point of contact for the Production Unit on product engineering matters.

You will own local design implementation, ECN handling and act as a bridge to R&D, coordinating with Tampere for changes and validation. You will mentor fellow engineers, ensure accurate BOM data and support drawings release, while driving rapid resolution of production stoppages and

Qualifications

• Experience with PLM and ERP systems (Teamcenter, SAP).
• Strong BOM/ECN change-management discipline.
• Structured problem solving: RCA, DFMEA, 8D.
• Independent decision-making with cross-site coordination.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC/ANSI welds and drafting standards.
• Exposure to UG/NX Teamcenter integrated environment; AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive on-site engineering support to the Production Unit.
• Ensure MBOM/EBOM accuracy and timely ECN implementation.
• Lead field failure root-cause analysis and feedback to R&D.
• Coordinate with Tampere R&D on design changes and validation.
• Mentor production support engineers on processes and tools.
• Support item/BOM data management and release of drawings.
