Job summary

Jimmy Mode International, Jaipur, is seeking a Senior Production Manager to run the sewing floors and the Industrial Engineering function. Only candidates with 15+ years in woven apparel production should apply.

The role requires hands-on IE management experience, line balancing, SAM/SMV setting, and strong exposure to international buyer requirements and audits. On-site operations will span cutting to packing across 9 sewing lines.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in woven garment production in an export house with sewing floor management.
• 3+ years as IE Manager or Head of IE in a garment factory.
• Hands-on with OB, SAM/SMV, line balancing, skill mapping and line efficiency tracking.

Responsibilities

• Run the sewing floors: daily output, line efficiency and on-time shipment against buyer delivery dates.
• Plan the flow from cutting to sewing to finishing and packing against order TNA.
• Build Operation Bulletins, set SAM/SMV for new styles, and do line balancing and operator skill mapping.
• Cut operations and SAM using folders, attachments and specialised machines.
• Control WIP, bottlenecks and manpower to reach 100% capacity utilisation.
• Work with QA to reduce defects (DHU) and rework, and meet AQL and buyer audit requirements.
• Track and reduce cost per piece through efficiency, overtime and manpower control.
• Lead supervisors, line chiefs and IEs; coordinate with merchandising, sampling and planning.

MUST HAVE

• 15+ years in woven garment production in an export house, with sewing floor management
• 3+ years as IE Manager or Head of IE in a garment factory
• Hands-on with OB, SAM/SMV, line balancing, skill mapping and line efficiency tracking
• Experience with international buyer requirements and audits
• Degree/diploma in Apparel or Garment Manufacturing Technology (NIFT, Pearl, ATDC or equivalent). Engineers from other fields are considered only if their entire career has been in woven garment production.

GOOD TO HAVE

ERP/production tracking software, Kaizen/lean tools, kids' wear experience
