Job summary

Vesat Management Bengaluru seeks a Plant Head to oversee end-to-end garment/innerwear manufacturing, from cut to dispatch. You will drive production planning, quality, cost control and operational excellence, while building a high-performance culture aligned with MNC standards.

The role requires 15–24 years in garments with strong leadership and stakeholder skills. Experience with innerwear/knitwear and large-scale operations is essential; familiarity with international brands is a plus.

Qualifications

• BE/BTECH with 15-24 years exp in Manufacturing / Garments / Inner wear / Bra / in apparel/garment manufacturing.
• Strong experience in innerwear / lingerie / knitwear manufacturing preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years in a Plant Head / Factory Head / GM Operations / Head Manufacturing role.
• Experience managing large-scale manufacturing operations and production workforces.
• Strong knowledge of garment production, IE, quality and lean manufacturing.
• Experience working with international brands/customers or an MNC environment preferred.
• Strong analytical, leadership and stakeholder-management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete plant operations from cutting through sewing, finishing, packing and dispatch.
• Develop and execute annual/monthly/weekly production plans in line with business requirements.
• Ensure achievement of production targets, delivery schedules and capacity utilization.
• Optimize manpower, machines, materials and factory capacity.
• Monitor line loading, balancing, WIP and bottlenecks.
• Drive productivity improvement across sewing and finishing operations.
• Ensure smooth execution of new styles, products and capacity ramp-ups.

Role & responsibilities

Plant Head will have overall responsibility for end-to-end manufacturing operations of the garment/innerwear plant, covering production, planning, quality, engineering & maintenance, industrial engineering, stores, safety, compliance and people productivity.

The role will be responsible for delivering production volumes, quality, cost, productivity, on-time delivery and operational excellence, while building a high-performance manufacturing culture aligned with MNC standards.

Plant Operations & Production

• Lead complete plant operations from cutting through sewing, finishing, packing and dispatch.
• Develop and execute annual/monthly/weekly production plans in line with business requirements.
• Ensure achievement of production targets, delivery schedules and capacity utilization.
• Optimize manpower, machines, materials and factory capacity.
• Monitor line loading, balancing, WIP and bottlenecks.
• Drive productivity improvement across sewing and finishing operations.
• Ensure smooth execution of new styles, products and capacity ramp-ups.

Innerwear / Garment Manufacturing

• Strong understanding of innerwear, lingerie, knitwear and garment manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of cutting, sewing, elastic application, flatlock/overlock, bonding where applicable, finishing and packing.
• Drive SMV/SAM-based productivity improvement and line balancing.
• Improve line efficiency, DHU, throughput and first-pass yield.
• Reduce alteration, rework, rejection and material wastage.

Preferred candidate profile BE/BTECH with 15-24 years exp in Manufacturing / Garments / Inner wear / Bra /

• in apparel/garment manufacturing.
