Job summary

JewelsHire invites applications for a senior production leadership role with a premier diamond jewellery manufacturing partner in Andheri East, Mumbai. The position requires directing end-to-end jewellery production operations, planning, staffing, and quality control to meet orders on time.

Ideal candidates will have 15+ years in jewellery manufacturing, strong knowledge of gold/diamond processes, and a track record of productivity improvements.

Qualifications

• Any graduate with 15+ years of jewellery manufacturing/production experience.
• Experience as Production Manager / Senior Production Manager / Factory Manager.
• Strong knowledge of gold and diamond jewellery manufacturing processes.
• Proven ability to manage large production teams and shop-floor operations.
• Experience in quality control and process improvement.
• Familiarity with KAIZEN, 5S, Six Sigma & Lean Manufacturing.
• Mumbai-based candidates preferred; export jewellery manufacturing experience will be valued.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end jewellery production operations.
• Develop and execute production plans as per orders, quality standards and delivery timelines.
• Manage production planning, manpower allocation and shop-floor operations.
• Monitor production targets, productivity and manufacturing efficiency.
• Control gold/metal loss, diamond breakage, wastage and rework.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards across all production processes.
• Coordinate with PPC, CAD, PD, Quality, Procurement and other internal teams.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and implement process improvement and productivity enhancement strategies.
• Manage production teams, supervisors and shop-floor workforce.
• Monitor production MIS, WIP, efficiency and delivery status.
• Coordinate with vendors and job workers for smooth production execution.
• Ensure timely completion and dispatch of production orders.
• Handle production-related issues and ensure effective problem resolution.
• Build an efficient production environment and continuously improve manufacturing processes.

• 15+years of relevant experience in Jewellery Manufacturing / Production
  
• Strongexperience as Production Manager / Senior Production Manager / FactoryManager
  
• Strongexperience in the Diamond Jewellery industry
  
• Strongknowledge of Gold and Diamond Jewellery manufacturing processes
  
• Strongknowledge of production planning, manpower management and shop-flooroperations
  
• Provenexperience in controlling gold loss, diamond breakage, wastage and rework
  
• Strongexperience in quality control and process improvement
  
• Provenexperience in managing large production teams
