Job summary

Balaji Engineering in Vasai, Maharashtra seeks a Rubber Moulding Supervisor to lead shift operations on the production floor. You will drive output, coordinate moulding processes, and monitor presses to maintain efficiency and quality.

You will manage a team, train operators on equipment and procedures, enforce safety, and troubleshoot line issues to minimize downtime. Candidates based in Palghar, Mumbai or Thane are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer/Rubber Technology, or equivalent.
• 25 years hands-on experience in a rubber/polymer manufacturing setup.
• Solid know-how of rubber compounds, vulcanization, and curing cycles.
• Working knowledge of compression, injection & transfer moulding.
• Comfortable troubleshooting hydraulic press and mould issues.
• Strong shift-handling, team coordination, and shop floor leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive daily rubber moulding output and hit shift targets.
• Coordinate compression, injection & transfer moulding along with curing operations.
• Keep an eye on hydraulic press performance, cycle times, and machine utilization.
• Make sure material, manpower, and machines are used efficiently: no waste, no downtime.
• Check trial pieces and confirm components are spec-perfect.
• Track defect/rejection rates and act fast to fix issues.
• Match finished parts against drawings and quality standards.
• Monitor molding parameters: temperature, pressure, timing, curing.
• Assign daily work to operators and shift staff.
• Train operators on machine handling and correct process.
• Keep tabs on individual performance and process discipline.
• Sort out press, mould, and process issues on the spot.
• Minimize downtime and keep the line moving.
• Coordinate with the right people to resolve recurring problems.
• Enforce PPE use and safe handling of rubber compounds/chemicals.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe machine practices across the floor.
