Job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior - Product Specialist to own the day-to-day operational backbone of the product function. This role sits at the intersection of business stakeholders, engineering, and design, translating business requirements into clear PRDs, working closely with the in-house designer on UI/UX, and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency (including through smart use of AI tooling). You will ensure sprints are planned and executed without friction, keeping the product engine running smoothly, end to end.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document requirements; convert these into well-structured Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) that engineering and design can build against.
  • Research and evaluate new features, tools, and workflow changes that can improve operational efficiency across product and business processes.
  • Work directly with the tech team to plan, run, and close out sprints: tracking scope, dependencies, and timelines, and unblocking issues as they come up.
  • Work with the in-house designer to shape UI/UX for platform features: translating requirements into wireframes and flows the designer can build on, and reviewing output for fit against the original ask. When design support isnt available, use AI tools to independently mock up UI/UX well enough to keep momentum; this is a fallback, not a substitute for the designer.
  • Use AI tools actively across the workflow, including requirement synthesis, PRD drafting, research, and reporting, to increase personal and team output without compromising quality.
  • Own recurring product operations tasks: backlog hygiene, release coordination, sprint reporting, and status updates to stakeholders. Standardize processes and templates (PRDs, sprint rituals, release checklists) so execution stays consistent as the team scales.
  • Track product and operational metrics, including sprint velocity, release health, and feature adoption, and analyze user feedback and satisfaction signals (NPS, support tickets, feature requests) to inform prioritization and reporting to leadership.
  • Own and maintain the product tooling stack (project management, design, analytics, feedback) to keep data clean and workflows friction-free, and support onboarding for new product team members with clear documentation.
  • Act as the connective layer between business asks and technical execution; identify process gaps and propose practical fixes rather than just flagging problems.
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in Product Operations, Product Management, or a similar role, preferably in B2B SaaS, staffing, or services.
  • Experience writing PRDs, managing product requirements, and working closely with engineering teams throughout the sprint cycle.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to gather requirements from non-technical business teams.
  • Comfortable collaborating with designers and using Figma or AI-powered design/prototyping tools to create basic UI/UX mock-ups.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor for research, documentation, prototyping, or problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with product and project management tools such as Jira, Linear, Asana, or Trello, along with Notion, Confluence, or Google Workspace.
  • Basic understanding of APIs, databases, web/mobile applications, product analytics, and dashboards.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment.
