Job summary

Asia Pacific Institute of Management (AIM) seeks an experienced Placement Professional to independently lead the Placement Office of a reputed PGDM/Management Institute. The candidate should have 10–12 years of relevant experience in placements, corporate relations, and student career services.

You will build strong corporate relationships, drive campus placements, manage the complete placement cycle, and ensure excellent career opportunities for students.

Qualifications

• Independent experience in managing a Placement Office and end-to-end placement cycle.

• Excellent understanding of campus recruitment and management education placements.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead the Placement Office and all placement-related activities.

• Manage OPTs, internships, live projects and industry exposure for students.
• Develop and execute placement strategy and annual placement calendar.
• Handle pre-placement talks, recruitment drives, campus interviews, job fairs and corporate presentations.
• Maintain regular communication with recruiters and manage placement MIS, reports and dashboards.

Head-Placements/Senior Manager-Corporate Relations

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Placement Professional to independently lead and manage the Placement Office of a reputed PGDM/Management Institute. The ideal candidate should have 1012 years of relevant experience in placements, corporate relations, and student career services, preferably with a leading B-School or higher education institution.

The candidate will be responsible for building strong corporate relationships, driving campus placements, managing the complete placement cycle, and ensuring excellent career opportunities for students.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage and lead the Placement Office and all placement-related activities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporates, recruiters, HR heads, CXOs, and industry professionals.
• Plan and execute the complete Campus Placement Process, including pre-placement activities, recruiter engagement, interviews, offers, and joining.
• Identify and on board new companies and expand the institute's recruiter network across sectors.
• Manage and coordinate OPT (On-Placement Training), internships, live projects, and industry exposure for students, as applicable.
• Develop and execute an effective placement strategy and annual placement calendar.
• Handle pre-placement talks, recruitment drives, campus interviews, job fairs, and corporate presentations.
• Maintain regular communication and professional relationships with existing and prospective recruiters.
• Negotiate and coordinate with companies regarding job profiles, compensation packages, recruitment requirements, and placement schedules.
• Track student eligibility, applications, selections, offers, joining status, and placement records.
• Ensure accurate and timely placement MIS, reports, databases, and management dashboards.
• Work closely with the Director/Dean/Management, Faculty, Academic Team, and Students to ensure smooth execution of placement activities.
• Guide and mentor students on career opportunities, interview preparation, employability, and corporate expectations.
• Represent the institute at relevant industry forums, corporate meetings, HR networking events, and B-School placement platforms.
• Take complete ownership of placement targets and deliver measurable results independently.

Candidate Profile

• 10–12 years of relevant experience in Placement, Corporate Relations, Career Services, or Talent Acquisition, preferably in a PGDM/B-School/Management Institute.
• Proven experience in independently managing a Placement Office and the complete placement cycle.
• Strong existing network with corporates, HR professionals, recruiters, and industry leaders.
• Excellent understanding of campus recruitment and management education placements.
• Experience in managing OPTS/internship programs, corporate projects, and industry engagement will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation, networking, coordination, and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Strong leadership, team-management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, placement databases/MIS, and related tools.
• Strong professional presentation and interpersonal skills.
