Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) seeks a Senior Layout Designer for piping to work on onshore projects in Chennai. You will ensure piping design integrity while leading execution and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams. Proficiency in E3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and MS Office is required.

The role emphasizes developing unit plot plans, layout optimization, MTO preparation, and reviewing vendor packages, with 8–15 years of experience in piping layout strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Proficient in E3D, AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and mechanical handling concepts.
• Experience with conceptual layout studies and support modelling (MDS).
• Ammonia/Urea experience is a plus; 8–15 years in piping layout.

Senior Designer - Piping Title: Senior Designer - Piping KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets. KBR is looking for Senior Layout Designer who possess experience in working within the piping design team on onshore projects and ensuring piping design integrity is not compromised while managing the execution of the project.

Qualifications including Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

Candidate should be a Diploma in Mechanical / Chemical Excellent knowledge in E3D, MS Office, AutoCAD & MicroStation. Good knowledge in mechanical handling concepts Good knowledge in conceptual layout study Knowledge of support modelling – MDS, Special support Drawing generation is preferred Good Communication skills 08 - 15 years of experience in above skills & responsibilities Experience in Ammonia and Urea will be considered an added advantage.
